From: R.B. My deck is called five stars, and it uses fire and water cards, with one colorless. I was just at the Pokemon Card Game Party in Oxford Valley Mall and went 17-2 with this deck. Note: My deck uses a lot of rare pokemon I was lucky enough to get, others may not be so lucky. ENERGY( 34) 15 Fire 15 Water 4 Double Colorless Energy POKE'MON ( 18 ) 1 Magikarp- Only used for Gyrados. Hope this isn't the only pokemon you get at the start. 1 Gyrados- Bubblebeam is great for powerful ones, like Charizard. 1 Poliwag- Can deal up tp 30 damage.( 60 with weakness) But save it for poliwrath. 1 Poliwhirl- Amnesia is good if you want to stall. But save it for Poliwrath. 1 Poliwrath- It has 90 HP and whirlpool can be even better than super energy removal ( because it takes energy cards and does damage, all against your opponet. 1 Growlithe- Save it for Arcanine. 1 Arcanine- Probaly the second best fire pokemon. 1 Vulpix- Basically useless without ninetails, but confusion is good. 1 Ninetales- Lure is awsome when your opponet is trying to build up strong pokemon. 1 Squirtle- Other than using withdraw to stall, he's just about useless. 1 Wartortle- Withdraw is good to stall, but save for Blastoise, 1 Blastoise- It's Rain Dance is awsome, it's great to build up other water cards. 1 Seel- Save for Dewgong. 1 Dewgong- Aurora Beam does 50 damage, and Bubblebeam does 30, plus a chance at paralyze, it's hard to do better! 1 Charmander- Not to good without Charmeleon or Charizard. 1 Charmeleon- Great card. But save it for Charizard. 1 Charizard- The king of pokemon cards. 1 Chansey- Great to stall and waste time. Trainer Cards ( 8 ) 1 Computer Search- Great when you must have a certain card. 2 Potions- Gotta heal 'em all. 1 Professor Oak- This is good when you have no pokemon left in your hand and your about to lose. 2 Revive- This is good when a basic is on the discard pile and you have it's evolution. 1 Pokemon Trader- Just like Computer search. 1 Pokemon Breeder- Use this on Charmander, Squirtle, or Poliwag. As I said, I went 17-2, here's a description of some of the better matches. Game 1 ( 0-0) This was my first, and best match against a kid a few years older than me. I started with Chansey, which I used to stall and was able to get the three charmander cards, plus energy. After that it took some time, but I got all my prizes and won. Game 6 ( 5-0) I started with Squirtle, three waters, a fire, a colorless, and pokemon trader. I used the trader to get wartortle and get using withdraw. ( That worked for three turns) Then I got Chansey and stalled until I had Blastoise. ( Which I got with Computer Search). I won. Game 14 ( 13-0) This game I met the only flaw I know of in this deck. I started with only a magikarp and got crushed. Game 17 ( 15-1) My only real loss. I took on a guy with energy removal's galore. He had 4 energy removal's and 4 super removal's. By the time I got my guys charged up it was too late. Well, I'm pretty sure this deck will bring you wins. Thanks for your time.
