This is my Water Works deck. Its a version of the rain dance, except that my deck works a lot better than most others I have seen. I Have only been beaten twice by an electric/psychic deck. The owner of that deck, Bert Colantuoni, is a member of the same team as me. His deck has been published on other websites for being incredibly good, but the two times he beat me he did it on his last turn when he drew his last card. So even though my deck would be weak to electric it is safe to say that it would take a really good electric deck to beat this one. Since my two losses to Bert however I have made some serious changes in my deck. Since that time I am undefeated in several matches, and I plan to use it in the upcoming tourney this weekend. Here is the layout: ENERGY 24x Blue Energy POKEMON 4x Magikarp(weak at first, but becomes gyarados, which is a beast) 4x Gyarados ( 50 for dragons rage, 40 w/ bubblebeam plus possible paralyzation) 4x Squirtle( good basic, has withdraw, and bubble that can paralyze) 4x Blastoise( RAIN DANCE!! possible 60 damage w/ hydro pump) TRAINER 4x Bill (must have to get those much needed energy) 4x Pokemon Breeder (Lets you play without any Wortortles) 4x Oak(after using rain dance to throw tons of energy, it gets u a new hand) 4x Computer Search( Get your Gyarados/Blastoise/Bill/Energy) 4x Pokemon Trader( Trade for one of the heavy hitters) The basic goal of this deck is to make use of its speed. You want to get out a Blastoise or a Gyarados fast so you can start beating the opponent into the ground. The Gyarados is weak to Grass and the Blastoise is weak to electric. I have yet to see a good Grass/Electric deck so this doesn't really matter. You can use the Oaks to get new hands with another pokemon and more energy, the Bills, Comp searches, and pokemon traders do the same thing. The pokemon breeder lets you play this deck without any Wortortles, which is so cool since Wortortle isn't that good anyway. I have had 2 Gyarados and 3 Blastoise completely built up by the end of my second turn. With Gyarados you have the dragon's rage which does 50 and Blastoise has the hydro pump which can deal 60 damage. Blastoise with 5 energy cards can kill the infamous Charizard in a single turn. You also can use the Blastiose's Rain Dance power to build up your pokemon quick so they can hit the opponent hard. And because you can lay down as many energy cards as u want at a time, you can hold them in your hand to until you have to bring your pokemon up to fight. That way you can avoid those annoying energy removals. And I know the ratio seems a little odd for the Gyarados and the Blastoise, but you don't need all four, you only need one or two of each in play. Its a good deck and I'd like some feedback on what you people think. so e-mail me at Majik16106@aol.com. I also have to give a shout-out to my team in Atlanta, GA. Bert Colantuoni,Mike Owens,Kyle Hagen, and me, Paul Miller, we are TEAM TOOLSHACK.
