This is yet another deck from the creator of Water+Fighting and PsyFlare. This is my favorite deck of all of the ones I have played with. It's EXTREMELY fast and relies on a set of two VERY good basic Pokemon, Hitmonchan and Electabuzz. Both of these can easily be followed up by Raichu and Dragonair, two spectacular Stage 1 Pokemon. I will give a comprehensive review of this deck at the bottom of the list. Fighting 4x Hitmonchan (Probably the best basic Pokemon in the entire set for a non/stall deck (Chansey is the best for that.) He does a 20 damage attack for 1 fighting energy, and then a 40 damage attack for 2 Fighting and 1 colorless -- this is a minimum of 80 damage (not factoring in resistance or weakness) by turn three if all goes well. This card is a key player in this deck.) 2x Machop (it's a mini-Hitmonchan, 50 HP and 20 damage for 1 fighting) Lightning 4x Electabuzz (Probably the second-best basic, 10 damage and possible paralyze for 1 lightning, and then 1 lightning and 1 colorless for 30+ damage (coin flip - heads, 40 damage - tails, 30 damage and 10 to Electabuzz) This will RIP UP a Rain Dance deck (for those that don't know, a Rain Dance deck revolves around getting a Blastoise *weak against lightning* *Haha* out really fast and pouring energy onto a Gyarados) 3x Pikachu (Piii KA! A decent basic, 40 hp and a 30 damage move for 1 Lightning and 1 colorless, plus Gnaw *Gnawsome!* (don't ask) makes for a good squirtle killer (and anything else w/ 40 hp) 2x Raichu (Probably my fave card in the deck -- Agility is AWESOME! 20 damage and the possibility of being FRIGGIN' INVINCIBLE! Follow this up w/ a Thunder (60 damage, coin flip, tails does 30 to Raichu) and most anything is dead. Having 80 HP in a stage 1 doesn't hurt either.) Colorless 3x Dratini (Strong vs. Psychic, something the rest of this deck lacks) 2x Dragonair (Hyper Beam is SOOOO useful late-game, burn off their energy while hurting them) (it's not vital to the deck though) Trainer 4x Bill (FREE CARDS! Lets me TEAR through the deck, get what I need when I need it. No deck (except maybe a stall) should be without four of these) 2x Professor Oak (discard that useless crap for some GOOD STUFF!) 4x Energy Removal (Man these are so great! See that Mewtwo coming to tear up your Hitmonchan? No energy for you! HAH! Same w/ other fighting and annoying Psychics) 2x Super Energy Removal (see above) 3x Gust of Wind (These have won me SOOO many games! Pull up that Magikarp with 2 energy on it (hmm... what's coming) and thunder/thunderpunch it to hell. This is sooo useful, I cannot stress it enough) Energy 13x Lightning 11x Fighting 1x Double Colorless (for Dragonair) All right, There you go. Obviously this deck is supposed to whoop your opponent down with the Chans and Electabuzzes and then follow up with Raichu and Dragonair to finish them off. Energy Removals keep them down while you build up your army, and then slam them down. This works REALLY well against evolution decks because hopefully they won't last long enough to do anything, and stall decks usually get torn up by Hitmonchan (Chansey is weak against fighting and Dragonair does a number on Onix, he can't Harden with no energy, now can he?). I'm playing this deck in a local tournament tomorrow, and I'll post a full report on how it goes. If you have any suggestions or comments, feel free to e-mail me. Later.
