This tourney was held at a Hastings store in Las Cruces, New Mexico on 11/27/99. The fee was $1 and everyone played 5 games. It started at 10:30 a.m. Here's the report:

I'm not sure of the people's names. I went 4-1 in the regular tourney. 4-2 if you count the game for 1st.
We played 6 prizes, 1 game per round.
Game 1 vs.-??????
He played a raindance deck. He got a squirtle and staryu out. I got mysterious fossil, electabuzz, and charmander. I got an aerodactal in my hand as well as several lightning and fire energies. He went 1st with bubble but failed to paralyze. I however used thundershock and paralyzed. He powered up staryu and after that, I evolved mysterious fossil to aerodactal, that was the killer since he's just drawn a wartortle to accompany the blastoise in his hand. I powered up electabuzz again and killed squirtle. He brought out staryu, did slap and I killed him on my turn. He ran out of basics.

Game 2 vs.-?????
I played a kid that was supposed to be real good. He had a by-the-book haymaker. I started with magmar and had electabuzz and charmander on the bench. He got electabuzz, hitmonchan and scyther. He went 1st and attacked with electabuzz but he didn't paralyze. I used magmar and did smokescreen. He got tails next turn and I got a mysterious fossil. I used smog but it failed to poison. He attacked with thundershock and paralyzed me. By this time he had scyther powered up. I put down an aerodactal and a dce. I used my only switch to send out aerodactal. He retreated buzz and killed me with scyther. I used magmar to kill scyther and after that, all I can remember is that I got lucky on my draws and won like 6 prizes to (2-4).

Game 3 vs-??????
He played an all grass deck, He got a scyther and pinsir. I got an unbelievably good hand and got a dce, cahrmander, charmeleon, electabuzz and some energies. I sent out charmander, put a fire energy doen and did scratch for 20 on scyther. He put down a dce and did slash (this was turn 2). I evolved charmander and put down the dce and killed scyther. He sent out pinsir and I did 1` slash for the kill.

Game 4 vs- (something like Joseph)
This guy used a deck similar to mine except with oaks and comp searches. He almost decked himself but at the last minute when his electabuzz was down to 10 hp and I had my aerodactal out, he put out kangaskahn and got 3 heads. AAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!! I had him and it was so close!!!!! Oh well, only 1 more undefeated guy left. I wanted to play him and got my wish:)

Game 5 vs- Ray Burke (I think)
I got my aerodactal out quick and used electabuzz to kill his lone nidoran. He relied on evolutions to get nidoking and as I would find out, there was a good reason why he was undefeated before.

For 1st vs- once again (I think it was ) Ray Burke- We had the same record, the guy who beat me got 3rd.
I got a magmar and a mysterious fossil. He got nidoran, weedle and another nidoran. I got a bad hand and he got a good hand this time. I got aerodactal out right after he got nidoking and he got all 3 of his +powers. Let's just say I went bye-bye fast.
I got a card binder for 2nd.
