Ok....so heres my latest deck. I ran it at our latest LA Cards and Comics
tournament and came up big. My decks seem to lose in the finals lots....but I
won't ruin the ending. Christmas is drawing near and I feel the need for some
wins so I throw together a new deck. After being pounded by Dark Mind decks
and those baka Scyther deck I decided to unleash my latest deck on the
Pokemon world, The Cheap Shot. A culmination of anger from being defeated,
its power is revealed to the world. Mwahahaha. Ehh....maybe not.

Round 1 vs. Steven
Hey...this guy's cool....geez he lets me borrow his Ranma 1/2 tapes, I gotta
make myself mad at him. He's playing a Rain Dance. I decide to hold of with
cheap stuff and then Mime him to death. I start with Gastly against his
Squirtle and beat him to the KO. I charged Scyther on the bench and came up
for the cheap shot. Smack. I nailed all of his challengers and finished him
with a flurry of Pinsir attacks. Very smooth, smooth indeed. Thats 1.

Round 2 vs. Donut guy again!
No donuts this time, I got one from him last tournament. New deck this time.
Kind of a Potpourri I guess. I didn't see much, I was to busy throwing him
down....and out. Gengar came out on turn three and I cursed his Mime to death
and pounded down his Growlithes and Charmanders. Pinsir came up to blast his
Articuno. Waah....go home!

Round 3 vs. best friend
Nooo...I don't wanna beat him. But (evil laughter) they don't call this a
Pokemon Kumite for nothin'. He starts with Magikarp (Magikarp!!) and I smack
him down in 4 turns. Grilled Magikarp with a bit of lemon....nah...I like
them fried!

Round 4 vs. Scary guy with Dark Mind
Ever hear that sometimes you have to retreat to win? I believe it fully, and
its a big part of Pokemon. Thats one thing my deck is made to do (via
Dodrio's retreat aid), I drove this guy beyond madness by switching all
around to match him. Blow for blow we went, except I was gaining the edge
slowly. Gengar and Scyther contributed in leaps and bounds by weeding out
basic forms before evolution could kick in. I gathered a small crowd with my
back breaking final attacks and turned my sights on the finals.

Finals vs. Matt
Great player. He runs an infamous deck called "The Can Can" (don't ask). Its
a highly disruptive Scyther deck. I focus on using Psychic with lots of ER. I
won't be denied this time and I focus in on the great battle about to unfold.
I lose the toss (as always) and choose Doduo to start with. He has added
Hitmonchan to his deck. Good for my deck (Resis.). I smack away while using
my defensive guys to protect me. He gusts me all around messing up my
strategy but Dodrio shows up and ends that. Once he came in it was all over.
No chance for him, I switched on a whim and layed down heavy damage and his
Pokemon couldn't handle the force of my blows. He threw some monkey wrenches
in my plan but I was too much in the end. Victory and tournament winner
Takeshi!!
I got paid well for my performance. I got both Fossil preconstructs, a kinda
cool Fossil card box, 5 Fossil boosters, and 10 bucks store credit. How cool
is that??

Ok, now for the life message paragraph. One, don't fights the Pokemon gods,
if you are destined to lose......you'll probably lose. Two, sprinkling fairy
dust on your deck DOES NOT help you get a good hand. Three, never smirk when
you get a good hand, they might have an Imposter Prof. Oak. And last but not
least, "But Jesse......I want a donut!!"
