Hello boyz and girlz! It's Johnny here again to give ya another exciting
deck report!  From now on, I'm gonna introduce ya guys a surprise guest every
report!  This report's guest is....(spinning da wheel)....Joe Machete!
John: So Joe, how have you been?
Joe: Hmm...not so well..
John: Why?
Joe: I've only been terrorizing elementary schools..
John: Oh...uh..well...What's your fave pokemon?
Joe: Scyther!! Who doesn't like a huge green monster with dual cutting
blades?!
John: You gotta point there. Anyways...here's the deck and report
It was a nice mild Tuesday night in Sterling, Virginia. It was the 23rd
of November and yet another League gathering was tonight. When I got in the
store, the playing area had moved towards the back of the store. Also, to make
matters even worse, the player limit was lifted and we were able to fit about
half the players there in chairs. The 24 players now are like 40 players,
mostly youngsters and a few teens, like me. Well..here's it goes...
Four Wheel Drive
Energy: I know it's 23 this time :)
7 Electric
7 Fire
6 Psychic
3 Double Colorless
Trainers: I think 23's my magic number
3 Bills
3 Oaks
3 Gust of Winds
3 Super Energy Removal
2 Energy Removal
2 PlusPowers
2 Item Finders
2 Energy Retrievals
1 Comp. Search
Pokemon: The good Stuph
3 Electabuzzes
3 Fossil Magmars
3 Mr. Mimes
3 Scythers(still tryin' to get another!)
2 Doduos(i'm gonna stick these up someone's @$# if I don't get a suitable
replacement!)
1 Dodrio(same as above, except turned sideways this time)
Okay, enough of the small talk, let's shift into first gear and floor it!

Round 1 Rusty w/Fire and Psychic (age: I think he's 15 or 16)
I've seen Rusty like once here before, but as for what he plays, it's all
a mystery to me. ...
He starts with an active Eevee and a benched Mime. I start out wit'
Scyther and a benched 'Mar. I go first, and slapped an energy on 'Mar, his
turn. Rusty wags, but flipped tails so it's my turn. I attached another
energy on 'Mar,retreated Scyther, and poisoned eevee. He quick attacks but it
wuz tails. I finish eevee off and rusty didn't do anything but bitches about
finally drawing a Flareon after i killed it. He brings out Mime, but looks
like he has no energy.2 Turns later, I pokemon him out with 4 prizes left.
Good try Rusty.

Round 2 Lee Richie w/original Potpourri (Age:15)
He definitely has the skill to defeat anyone. He runs with Scott's
potpourri. I think it trades a bill in for an oak. It also looks like it runs
with more removal and no finders.
Lee opens wit' Mime and me Scyther. I think I went first. I retreated
and brought out 'Mar to screen Mime. He starts pumpin' up Scyther. I killed
off his Mime quickly and he brings out Scyther, gusts out 'Buzz, and
slashes. He super removals on my Mime. I used super removaled his scyther away
all of it's energy(yeah, he had a DBC on it) and scooped 'Buzz up. He starts
pumpin' 'Buzz and I poison and killed it. He slashes and I finish off
Scyther. He finishes of 'Mar with a punch. Prizes 4-5 is bad for him.
Then he gets an energy shortage. A few turns later I evolved Doduo into
Dodrio. His Hitmos look prime targets but my active is 'Buzz so I gust out
his Kanaskhan and pummel it wit' punches. He dances around wit' Scythers and
pays some Bills(about 3 actually) but 'Buzz caught up to them. I'm down to 1
prize and he 5 but a LATE OAK I used made a FATAL mistake and I knew I was
gonna deck myself. He makes a wall of 'Chan and keeps retreating with DBC and
I draw my last card which was an Itemfinder.  Then Lee gloats and acts all
happy and cocky. I basically ran over myself.
Joe: You mean you can't beat a cocky punk like him?
John: Shut Up!!!!!! He just lucked out with that dbc!!!
Joe: Whatever...Loser
John:(pulls out a 2x4...)
Round 3 Alex w/Water and Fire (Age:I think around 8-10)
He's a youngster that I simply don't know. I just wanted the points for
my Cascade Badge and move on.
He begins with Farfetch'd and me 'Mar. I go first. I screen. He leek
slaps(he now has to get both heads to land the slap). He misses the first
flip, so it's my turn. I poison his 'Fetch'd and he starts pumpin' up his
Squirtle. I energized Mime and finished off 'Fetch'd. He keeps paralyzing my
'Mar for 3 turns. I drew a Scoop Up and just in time, I scooped up 'Mar and
meditated wit' Mime. He retaliates wit' Bubble no keeps flippin' tailz now.
After killin' through Squirtle he brings out Dratini and pounds     Mime. I
retreat Mime and bring up a fully pumped 'Buzz and flipped tailz.
He pounds back. I finish it off with a shock. Now Alex brings up an Eevee and
quick attacks for 30. I punch back wit' 40. He attacks for 10. I gust out his
benched 'Fetch'd and punched it dead. He flips another tailz wit' eevee. I
retreat 'Buzz and finish it off wit' Mime. This brings up a squirtle. We
trade blows until Squirtle falls. That wuz his last 'mon and I had 1 prize
left. I won without losing any of my pokemon, but I don't wanna brag. You put
up a good fight Alex.

Round 4 Lee again w/Speedrill
I decide to play Lee again and he chose his Speedrill deck for fear of
his Potpourri being defeated. I brought up the idea of bringing back
Speedrill, but he was able to make a deck right away. Here's how it went.
Lee starts wit' Weedle and me, Mime. He goes first and stings but no
poison. I draw a 'Mar and start pumpin' it up right away. He puts down
another a weedle and stings wit' poison. I Scoop up Mime and 'Mar roasts
Weedle. He evolves his next Weedle and poisonpowders but no poison. I slap
down a Scyther, energized it,poisoned it. He evolves Kakuna into Beedrill,
poison stings wit' a heads, killing off 'Mar. Scyther's up and I placed a DBC
and slashed for the win.
Joe: Boy, that was quick.
John:WHAM!! (Joe falls down unconscious.)
John:Yep, it sure wuz... :)
