I played another tournament at Best Comics, in Great Neck, New York, on
Friday the 12th of November. They have pretty good tournaments their, and the
prizes are great because they have a lot of people who show up. I've been
playing weird decks for the last few weeks, and that day was no exception. I
decided to use a Super Stall 2001 deck, with slight modifications over the
last one. It's actually pretty good.
Here are the cards:
4 Moltres
3 Chansey
3 MewTwo
1 Aerodactyl
1 Omanyte

15 Fire Energy
11 Psychic Energy

4 Impostor Oaks
4 Computer Search
4 Clefairy Doll
4 Mysterious Fossil
3 Scoop Up
3 Defender

I know I made some weird Modifications, but here me out, it's actually a lot
better than my last one. I use MewTwo's Barrier as a great staller, Moltres'
Wildfire to discard cards, Chansey can take at least two attacks from anyone,
and Impostor Oak takes out 28 cards if I use all four. Clefairy Doll and
Mysterious Fossil take up turns, and Aerodactyl stops those annoying
Raindance decks from really doing any damage to me. I know many of you are
asking, why is Omanyte in there. The answer, my friends, is Clarvoyance. This
is perfect for Impostor Oak, so when you have that ONLY BLASTOISE in your
hand, BOOM, Impostor Oak, and those Gyarados' and Articuno are just sitting
ducks powering up and waisting time. ;-)

The tournament was single elimination, 12 people showed up.
Here's the tourny report:

Match 1: Johnathan Thalheim with Raindance
My first match with Super Stall 2001, and I'm playing the perfect opponent.
This guy is a newbie, so I figure I'll take him out quick so he won't give me
any trouble later. He starts Squirtle, I've got Fossil, Moltres, Clefairy
Doll, 1 Impostor Oak 1 Psychic and 2 Fire. I play Clefairy Doll, draw an
Omanyte, and put Moltres on my bench. He killed the Doll, but I play Moltres
and put another fire. He hurt me bad because of resistance, but I played
Omanyte, saw he had BLASTOISE (hahaha) in his hand, and used Impostor Oak. He
never got much going from there. I used Wildfire to discard about 10 cards,
Impostor Oaked once more, played all 4 of my Clefairy Dolls and Mysterious
Fossils, and used MewTwo and Barrier to stall and deck him.
WIN 1-0

Match 2: David Gabriels with Haymaker
He was playing the Haymaker with Scoop Ups, Electabuzz, Scyther and Magmar. I
knew that this was gonna be tough. I started with a MewTwo with 3 Fire, 1
Psychic, a Fossil and Chansey. I sent out Chansey, and he played Electabuzz.
Took him 4 turns to kill me, and by then I had a few Psychic energies on
MewTwo. I barriered for 5 turns, built up Moltres, and let him kill MewTwo. I
stalled with a 2 Clefairy Dolls, and played an Omanyte on a benched Fossil.
He had about 12 cards in his hand, so I Impostor Oaked, saw he got some good
cards, and Impostor Oaked again. (hehe). Moltres ended up Wildfiring for the
deck, and I won again.
WIN 2-0

Round 3: Daniel Boczko with Stall Deck
He was playing a true stall, with 6 Moltres and 54 Psychic energies. I ended
up beating him, because I made him discard more cards then he could make me.
He sat there and Barriered the entire time, while I Impostor Oaked and
Wildfired. He ended up getting decked, while I had 11 cards to spare. This is
a great example of why my stall deck is better than most that are out there.
WIN 3-0

Round 4: Josh Justin with a Wiggly Speed Deck.
He got a great hand, with Jiggly, Wiggly, a DCE and some other stuff, while I
mulliganed once and ended up with MewTwo. No Psychic Energy though.
NOOOOOOOOOO. I tried to stall, and even Computer Searched for one energy, but
he quickly beat down my Fossils and destroyed my lone MewTwo.
LOSE 3-1

I  came in second and got 3 Fossil First Edition packs. I got a non-holo
Dragonite, a holo Zapdos and a non-holo Zapdos. Not bad.

The deck did okay, but it needs some work. I think I need to work with some
Defenders, and play better with my Scoop Ups. I'm trying to make a No Basic
Pokemon Deck with Pidgeot, which I'm gonna use at a tournament on friday.

Now it's time for the best part of the report, props and slops.
Props..........
To Josh, for beating me.
To anyone whos ever played a "different" deck.
To K. Williams, for coming up with a use for Slowpoke and Slowbro. I look
forward to seeing that report. (Now if only someone could find a use for
Basic Ghastly7 ;-)
To Pojo, for being the best page there is.

Slops..........
To all of the Haymakers and Raindance decks out there. Try to be original,
and if you don't want to waste money playing in real tournaments, play
online.

That's all for now. Good luck in any tournaments you play in. If you like my
deck, e-mail me at Ausenstrak@aol.com
