Deja vu Games

Hi I'm Alex Rickert and I competed at Deja vu Games. The same place Ryan
Troung goes too. The tournament was on 11/27/99. Well here is how it went
(and no, I didn't get to battle him), But before that heres everthing in my

Round 1
Me vs. Alex B with suped up Haymaker
Great I thought when I started! I had a pretty bad hand, but Alex ended up
with no basics so he had to shuffle and I got to draw two more cards. The
match was tough his Hitmonchans beat down my Magmars. in the end I ended up
losing with 4 prize cards still left

Round 2
Me vs. ???? Fire/Water
I had a very tough start. I forgot how this match went. Anyways I lost with
3 prizes left.

Round 3
Me vs. ???? Grass/Psychic
This guy was really bad. He was jumping around like crazy! I drove him nuts
by not letting him keep any energy,(thank you energy removals!) Soon no
matter what pokemon he sent out it would die in a turn. So he put out a
kangaskhan that he just picked up. Don't ask me why but he tried to pump it
up but I killed it in 3 turns. The worst part was that he knew it was going
to die. I won, and he had 5 prize cards left.

Round 4
Me vs.???? Psychic
I opend with a pretty good hand. This guy really tried to cheat. I sent out
my magmar to take care of his gastlys. I used gust of wind to expose his
weak pokemon. I ended up winning due to not having any basics.

Round 5
Me vs.???? Rain Dance
I felt sorry for this guy, We both started with bad hands. I sent out
Mr.Mime to kill his krabby. I was afriad I was going to lose when I pulled
through with a Electabuzz it took down 2 Krabby, and 2 Seel. That won the
game for me! He still had 5 Prize cards left. Lets put it this way,
Elactabuzz Good Rain Dance bad.
Record 3-2

I didn't win anything this week but I hope I do next week. I came in 9th
place out of 14 people. Not bad for my first tourny!
