Background

The last tournament that i entered with this deck was on Nov.6 at Castle Perilous in Carbondale, Illinios there was about 12-13 people attending.  few had decks that were built for a purpose while the rest seemed as if they were just res\cently put together and were very uneffective.
The tournament started at 12:30 and continued till 4:30.

The coordinator of this tournament was paring up the matches and I ended up playing a kid with a mono-fire deck.

Round 1 of game 1:
As we were suffling our decks, I noticed that my opponent had fire in his deck, so I decided to be nice and inform him that I was playing a water deck.  That right there made his day, but based upon my prevoius tournaments he was dreading this match anyway.
We went ahead and drew our cards, my opening hand consisted of 2 Squirtle, 1 oak, 2 blastoise, 1 breeder, and 1 energy.
My opponent started with a single ponyta for his starting pokemon.
By my second turn the heavy hiter blastoise was fully charged.
Unfortunately my opponent lost.

Round 2
Same as earlier, with slightly different hand. Opponent lost by 4th turn

record: 1-0

Game 2

In this match i faced a kid with an electric deck, and with water being week against electric you would think that my opponent had the advantage over me, but...

Round 1
By now I am starting to wonder why i always get simalar opening hand(Ill explain later), anyway my starting pokemon was again a squirtle, my opponent had a zapdos.  On my turn i went ahead and attacked with bubble not paralyzing zapdos. So far zapdos only has 1 energy on him.  My turn I breeder on squirtle, oak then danced and hydroed for 60. My opponent could not do a single thing. my next turn hydro for 60, a win for me.

Round 2
"Second round, same as the first."

record: 2-0

Game 3

I ended up having to face my apprentice (cuz), being a poor sport we never got to play each other just because he conceded this match to me. No reason why.

record: 3-0

Game 4

Since the last tournament this kid has aquired a major ego. he was the only one who has successfully defeated me.
This kid was playing a form of energy denile/rain dance deck
This is always my favorite match, to see how good that i can stragitize my plays.

Round 1
We each had almost the exact same hand, we each had a blastoise out by second turn. Ill make this short. Over the course of this round we each had only about 15-20 cards in our decks between us. we could battle but what was the point to that when in 5 turns the game would be over. so 5 turns later my opponent had decked himself.

Round 2
"Second Round, same as the first." but instead I decked myself.

Round 3
this was over in about ten mininuts, my opponent won with energy removal and brut strength. my hat's off to you buddy!

Record: 3-1

Game 5(semi finals)
This is a kid that had a deck that appeared to be "slapped together in a few mininuts" it contained 4 colors, I think.

Round 1
With multiple colors my opponent had a charmander, and an eevee. I had out a staryu and squirtle. by my third turn my opponent could not get the right energy and I destroyed his pokemon using all 4 oaks and a super charged blastoise.

Round 2
same as first

Record: 4-1

game 6(finals)
This game was the exact same game as game 4 but instead my opponent decked himself in round one, and with brute force i won the second

Record: 5-1
Deck Record: 31-2

With the record of 5-1 I got first place and recieved a $25 gift certificate.

+) Having 4 of each of those cards, no matter if your opponent cuts your deck or not you are garrenteed to get one of each in your opening hand.

I would like to thank every one who had to put up with me in this and prevous tournaments.
