hey pojo. Hi i'm Matt and i competed at a pokemon card tourny in
mississauga,ontario and the place is called Combination Cards it was on
11/21/99About 14 people particapated.

I have yet again been fiddling with my deck it is now a steady going deck that
i call Dances with Special Fire Punches. It looks like the following.

Before the tournament i bought 4 fossil packs hoping not to get another
Dragonite. Luck was on my side for those 4 packs. I got a Holo-New Raichu a
Holo Ditto a Non-Holo Hypno and a Holo-New Magneton.
i was happy because i was able to put 2 fossil Magmars in my deck. My friend
Stephen played too he was in group 1 i was in 2 each group had 6 or 7 people
in it. The tourny began

Round 1
Me vs Steven (Psychic,Grass)
This was a pathetic game for him. He got out a Caterpie as his basic. I had
Scyther out and Kangaskhan on my bench. I went first. I got out  a fighting
energy then i billed and got Hitmonchan and another fighting energy. I put a
grass under Scyther and swords dance he couldn't do anything but lay a
Caterpie down on the bench. Soon Caterpie was dead. He sent out another
Caterpie and put a Gastly on his bench. In  a matter of seconds Caterpie was
returned and Gastly was ko'd by a Kangaskhan. I picked up a swicth as a prize
and used it to put in Magmar(fossil) against his Caterpie. SmokeScreen got
heads. He couldn't hurt me and he had 20 left. I wanted to spare but i said
let's end it and Magmar's smog ended Round 1 with a posionous Smog attack. Boo
Yah. Win for me and he wanted my Holo-Ditto and i wanted his Holo-Aerodactyl.
I won he gave me Aerodactyl.

Round 2
Me vs Chris (Water,Colorless Deck)
This was a not so great hand. I got Kangaskhan and a Magmar out. with 2 DCE 1
Bill, 1 energy removal and a 1 fire energy. I sent Kangaskhan up and used
Fetch and got out another fire energy. he sent up Doduo with no energies. he
had all evolution cards in his hand. Kangaskhan took Doduo out in a matter of
seconds. He sent Spearow up. Pecked me. I took him out with Comet Punch. Gotta
Love that Kangaskhan. By this time Magmar was ready to go. He sent Staryu up
and gust of winded Magmar in. SmokeScreen got heads. Smoke Screen again heads.
He tied to use slap. He said slap and i said sorry buddy i used smoke screen
and got heads. My turn Smog killed him my last prize was a chansey. Dang. But
i got his Pidgeotto for winning.

Round 3
Me vs Steven Hughes(Psychic/Water deck)
This was a extremely tough game all i could get at the start was weedle,
mr.mime and a Magmar. Magmar was my active. SmokeSCreen took out Mr.Mime in 3
turns.(Plus Power added). He then sent out Lapras which killed Magmar but
before i evolved Weedle to Kakuna. before it took Magmar out it ended up
having 30 damage on it and poison. 40 left. I had finally gotten Beedrill out
and since i sent Beedrill out with 3 grass i posion sting to eliminate Lapras.
Up came my most hated Rival. Special Addition MewTwo. He used Energy
Absorption. I could either use twineedle with  plus power to end him or 2 plus
powers and a poison sting. I used poison sting. it did 60 damage to him. I
flipped the coin if heads i move on to the semi-finals. It droped on tails. I
got Psyburned. i retreated Beedrill and sent out Magmar with 1 fire under him.
Smoke Screen game over MewTwo. To the semi-finals we go but not before i grab
my Limited Pikachu for winning.

Semi's
I got a bye. Everybody lost at least 2 times so i went straight to the
finals.

Finals
Me vs Stephen(Grass/Colorless)
I was so happy with my hand. 2 fossil Magmar. 4 fire and a ER. I sent up
Magmar he sent up. Scyther. With Grimer on his bench. I had to watch ou for
his 4 Venusaurs and 2 Nidokings. Magmar smoke screened. heads. does 20 damage.
He uses Swords Dance. Smog with a heads Scyther is dead. He brings up Grimer
and evolves to Muk. and all pokemon powers can't be used. So i says take this
and i posion him. Plus Mr.Mime was m prize. I sent out Mr.Mime layed an energy
on him smoged again. 10 left he died. He ran out fo basic. I win!

I got 4 1st edition packs for winning.  I didn't get jinxed this time. I got a
non-holo new Haunter, A Holo-Gengar, Another Holo-Hitmonlee and a Holo-Hypno.
