<Note: I have made many changes since then.>
Time: Wednesday, October 27 7:00-8:00.
Place: Pokemon League, Zainy Brainy, Centeral Park Fredericksburg
Deck: Golduck's Revenge
I showed up to my first night at Zainy Brainy's Pokemon League. We wasted
some time discussing the rules. No Weakness or Resistance???!!!
Then I traded Poliwhirl for Fossil Magmar, and passed the certified coach
test. I brought two decks, but only got to use this one.
Golduck's Revenge
23 Water Energy
4 Bills
3 Oaks
3 Gamblers
2 Breeders
1 Trader
1 CPU search
2 Psyduck
1 Golduck
2 Articuono
2 Squirtle
1 Wartortle
2 Blastoise
2 Poliwag
1 Poliwhirl
2 Poliwrath
3 Magikarp
3 Gyarados
1 Lickitung
1 Kangashkan
That's my deck. It's sort of like raindance, but it is very modified.
Now on to the League. I only played two games.
Game1 Jonathan ( Water, Fire, Electric)
I started with Psyduck active and Squirtle, Magikarp, and Kangaskhan on
the
bench. He had Poliwag and 2 Poliwag's and a char as back up.
He won the flip and water guned me. Fury Swipes gave me a turn two
knockout.
Eventually, I got blastoise out and gamblered to get him energy. He
destroyed a Poliwhirl, a Charmander, and then he tried to play mysterious
fossil by retreating Poliwag. When he learned he couldn't evolve turn
played
he took it back into his hand. I win.
Game 2. Ben( Power Reserve, took out 1 Bellsprout for a Victreebell)
He had only played a couple times, but put up a fight. Poliwag had to face
a
Kangaskhan, and comet punch got rid of it because of the Potions and Gusts
he used. Then Psyduck got rid of it just in time. In a long game Lickitung
eventually fainted, and then Articuno dominated. Win.
