Hello once again, as usual I have gone to another tournament at Deja Vu Games.  Also as usual I'm using my Jalapeno deck, I'm trying the Jalapeno with only 12 Basics, which I can say was not such a good idea, having that extra 1 or 2 would have helped during the tournament.  I got more mulligans then usual, this version although can deliver damage faster and deadlier.  With an extra Gust of Wind (4) and another Pluspower (3) made the speed difference, but as I already said mulligans were much more often then usual which is bad.

I have already explained my changes, but I'm currently trying to get a few of those Promo Mewtwo's they are pretty sweet, haven't gone to the movie yet, but Deja Vu may have a few of him when I return next week.  Promo Mewtwo may be popping up into my decks, but its a pity he does diddly to Mr. Mime.

Round 1-VS Alex K. Hot Jalapeno Potpourri

Yes that's right my best friend and arch rival is using my deck, (I have 2) he forgot his cards so I decided to be nice and let him use it, well that's my biggest mistake ever.  Alex is almost as good as me skill wise so this would be the hardest match of the day, I start the game with a mulligan, just great.  When I get my second try for a hand, I get a basic.  I start the game and get the quick jump on him as my Electabuzz is Thunderpunch'n his Pokemon to the ground.  I'm able to jump a head in prizes by 2, he returns the favour by getting 2 prizes also, we exchange blows for about 10 turns and it is tied at 2-2.  There is a stalemate now, that's bad my decks down to about 4, it is next to impossible to get those 2 prizes.  I make the match longer for another 4 turns, and deck my self.  Man, I shouldn't have played that extra Oak, he only had about 4 more cards then me.

    Record: 0-1
    0 Points

Round 2-VS  Peter B. with Mono Fighting

This should be quite easy, Mono Fighting is no match against Scyther, I get to open with Scyther against 2 Machops.  Unfortunately for some chance I have no energy, Bill or even Oak in my hand.  For about the first 5 turns Peter and I are both in a stalemate, I finally get some good stuff and pound away a Machamp he got out, the rest of the game is completely in my favour.  If he ever got energy I removed it, his Clefable gave me a little trouble but I made quick work of it, I eventually took down 6 Pokemon without playing one Prof. Oak!  Amazing, I only used 3 Bills for cards the whole game!

    Record: 1-1
    3 Points

Round 3-VS Mike R. with a Psychic or Curse Deck

I easily take control of this deck, his weak basics are no match against my Scyther and Electabuzz, his Haunter got a annoying with its power.  But I found my way around that with G.O.W.  I was able to get 4 prizes before he got 1 with his Hypno, Mike was able to get a Gengar out but had only 2 damage counters to move on my Pokemon, LoL! I knock his last basic for the win

    Record: 2-1
    6 Points

Round 4-VS David H. with Lighting

David is new to the tournament environment, I can tell since he starts with 2 Zapdos, I get a Magmar, to bad for him Zapdos is all he gets for the rest of the game.  Removal keep his Zapdos pinned down as I knock out his 2 Zapdos.  The game is done in about 4 Minutes, I have 16 Minutes before the next round will start so I sit down and take a snooze *Joke* :)

    Record: 3-1
    19 Points

Round 5-VS Peter K. with Raindance

Peter is a not a regular Pokemon player, I usually see him playing Magic, but the games are very alike so I can expect that he is good.  He is using a Raindance, good old Raindance, my favourite to play against, Raindance usually never touches my deck since Mr. Mime is in it.  He isn't able to get any of his evolutions out since Electabuzz and Scyther take out his basics in one hit a piece.  Peter was able to get out a Poliwhirl but G.O.W. and Slash from Scyther ended his only evolution quickly.  A lot of the other people were telling me to kick his *** and such since Peter beat a few other guys and annoyed then with Removals, well I beat him with much ease.

    Record:5-1
    12 Points

Well I didn't go undefeated this week, which kind of sucks.  I finished 2nd right behind my friend Alex, both of us and another guy had the same record, unfortunately Alex was able to win against me and that other guy who was in 3rd which gave him a better tie breaker.  Damn, wish there was another round...:)  I won 3 Fossil Boosters and got diddly...

I'm still sitting at 8th, but with last weeks finishing and this weeks I think they both had good enough results to allow me to move up in the DCI world.

Now its time for this weeks PROPS and SLOPS!

PROPS to Alex for winning this week.
PROPS to My deck for not getting as many mulligans as it was supposed to get.

SLOPS to The boosters for giving me diddly.

Well that's all for this week, I wasn't able to find time to put those pictures in like I had promised, I have been cut for time and barely found time to write up this report, they do take awhile to write up you know.
