Hey Pojo,
My name is Chris and I sent in a deck report a few days
ago.
That took me a while to make, about 4 hours. Now on to the
tourney!
Day: November 6, 1999
Place: Zany Brainy ( near Renton Washington)
Time: 12:00
Participants: 7
Rounds: 7 1 Bye per person
Prizes: 1st 9 packs 2nd 6 packs 3rd 3 packs 4th 1 pack
The tourney was on November 6 at our local Zany Brainy (
I need someone that can tell me a place near Renton which has DCI
ranked tourneys).
The night before the tourney we did our
usual tweaking of the deck.
I use a "Haymaker Potpourri" ( don't say it doesn't
have a strategy but it does)
while my brother made a brand spank'n new deck " The
Little Potpourri"
He battled me and he actually almost won 3 of the games but I
won all of them,
Jamie and I went to bed at around 1:00 a.m. because of battling
each other.
When I woke up Jamie was still asleep. That
is very weird, he usually wakes up at 6:00 a.m. and it is 10:00 and he still
was asleep! I woke him up and I took my shower and got dressed. Then we
went out for breakfast. We got to the tourney about 15 minutes early and only
2 people were there!
The kids asked if I wanted to trade cards so
I said no. Then they wanted to play me. I said yes and I won. Jamie and
my mom were looking around while my big brother Kevin was buying a dbz video.
At 12:00 the judge said we were doing a
Swiss tourney and that we would face everybody. This was my schedule

Chris vs. Tong
First match of the day
against a very good friend. Tong plays a Super Stall Deck. He only had an Abra
while I had a Hitmonchan, buzz and a dear friend of mine.... Plus Power.1 turn
K.O. I hate those. Tong always seems to draw a Abra.

Jamie vs. Jessica
Jessica thought Jamie was
very cute. Jessica played a Energy Removal deck. She drew a dratini, and a
psyduck. Jamie got a machop and a pikachu. Jamie did chop to dratini. Dratini
did slam (I think) for 10.
Machop killed it. She put up psyduck and did 20 to Machop. She
also placed down a Poliwag. Jamie retreated Machop and put up pikachu. Pikachu
killed Psyduck later on and the match went on like this for a while.
then she had her big Pokemon out. She had Poliwrath out and a
weak Psyduck. Jamie gusted out Psyduck for the win.

Chris vs. Johnny
This was the little kid who I faced earlier.He was
playing a modified overgrowth deck. This was going to be a easy match.
All I remember was using Ponyta and Electabuzz to kill all his pokemon. I drew
all the prizes before he drew 1. That was a very fast match.
Gotenks (2-0)
Jamie vs. Tong
Tong plays his usual Super Stall Deck. Tong only had a
Chansey while Jamie had Machop, and 2 Jynx's. Jamie chopped for 40 and
Tong placed down a Abra.
The match was long and boring when Jamie decked out.

Jamie vs. Grant
Jamie's friend from school. Grant played a
FarLeeMag (sounds weird doesn't it)
Grant went first and he had Farfetch'd out and Magmar on the
bench. Jamie had Ponyta out. The match was pretty short with Jamie the
winner drawing 6 prizes to 3.

Chris vs. Jessica
O.k. hope this match can get done quick. I hate playing
against girls. I get nervous and I stop thinking. Jessica played a Energy
Removal deck and she went first. She had 2 poliwags, a dratini, and a psyduck.
I had Electabuzz, Hitmonchan,and Scyther out. She went first and she hurt
Electabuzz. I demolished all her pokemon during the game. the only evulotion
she could play was Poliwrath(used breeder).

Jamie vs. Joey
Joey played a modified overgrowth.
Jamie drew all his prizes in about 20 turns. Pretty fast game
too.

Farfetch'd. I had Electabuzz and Mr. Mime. I won!

Chris vs. Grant
Grant plays a
deck he calls FarLeeMag. He had Hitmonlee, and 2 Geodudes (what!?) I had
Mr. Mime, Hitmonchan, Ponyta and Scyther. I killed Hitmonlee with Mime
while I used Scyther to kill the Geodudes.

Jamie hurt his eye during the tourney!

vs. Joey
Joey is Jamie's friend. Jamie annihilated him in the
first round. He played a modified overgrowth (see a pattern). He had a weedle
and I had Ponyta and Mime out. This got long some how but I still won
easily.

Jamie vs. Johnny
Johnny was the same kid I annihilated earlier. He played
a modified overgrowth. This game was fast going in favor of Johnny but Johnny
could have won but he oaked twice later in the game and he decked out.
Jamie (5-2)
Wow!! Anther great tourney. Jamie fell of his
chair and hit his eye as you can see in that picture up there. Tong got 2nd
with a 5-2 record because he beat Jamie but still Jamie got the same number of
prizes as Tong since he hit his eye against the chair. Jamie went 5-2 while I
went undefeated once again. My overall record is 28-3 and Jamie's is 11-6 at
these tourneys. The owner asked if I could help run the stores tourneys. I
said yes and now I get Packs of pokemon cards for each tourney I help run! Oh
yeah I won 9 packs and Jamie 6! All were Fossil too!
