20 Fighting energy

This tourney was back in september an its hard to remember the details.
I'll do my best.
The tourney had about 35 people in it and i won 1 place.  Every match was
2/3 single elemitation.... this is how it went.......

Round one: A kid with a water, Electric, colorless deck
Cant remember details.  He was lacking enrgy to build up a Blastoise while he
sent guy's with weakness to fighting for  Chan to pummel on.  When the turtle
started getting too much energy, i would super energy removal it.  I won both
games this way.
1-0

Round 2 : a little kid everyone said I had no chance against.  Hardest kid I
fought.
I had played him before the tournement started. He won that game with an
easily made Charizard/ Comp search deck.  Charizard's resistance saved him.
It's a good deck, but anyone can make it.  This kid was very cocky.
Now... the real game:  I lost the first out of the 3 game we were to
play.  He held off my lonely Lickitung  ( that's the drawback to only 8
basics in a deck) with pokemon like magmar and ponyta while he built up his
charizard.  I kept healin Lickitung to kill his pokemon and continued to
S.E.R and E.R his charizard. He kept on pullin energies.  By the time chan
came out he was useless against charizard's resistance. I lost
(battle 2)  We both only drew one pokemon.  I drew a tauros, he drew an old
magmar .  I won with ERs and potions.
(final battle)  This game went pretty much the same way the first one went,
Except i got mor itemfinders to get my SERs back.  He sent out minions for my
chan to kill while he built up his charizard.  When his Charizard had 4
energies, i gusted to it, switched to L.Tung and supersoniced it for heads.
When his attack failed, he had to disacrd to enerdies and hurt himself.  It
switched to tauros and killed his dazed charizard. I won
2-0
Round 3: Kid with averageg fighting deck. Decent.
(fight one)  My lickitung couldn't beat his ryhorn and his own chan. I lose,
no bench.
(fight 2) My Chan plus powers and kills his diglett. he had no basics left. I
won
(fight 3) He sends out minions aginst my chans while building a machamp.  I
keep SERing the champ and potions kepp my chans alive.  I ran him out of
energy and won.
3-0
FINAL ROUND:  My best friend Chris.  He used a grass deck that i made using
an arsenenal of glooms and weepinbells.  I dont know how he got this far.
(fight 1) i kill his oddish, bellspout, caterpie, and weedle with my chan and
some ERs. i win.
(fight 2) he instantly forfiets, gladly accepting 2nd place and giving 1st to
me.

I WIN TOURNAMENT.4-0

The combo of the 3 powerful basic pokemon Hitmonchan, Lickitung, and Tauros
is nearly unbeatable, especially in a haymayker.
With only 9 Basics, you can fit a lot more trainers.  Chans Psychic weakness
is backed up by Lickitung's resistance.  Lickitung's low colorless damage is
backed up by tauros's power.
Thanks so much Pojo
