Hello PoJo.  I am Patrick Brosnan, 13 years old and a good pokemon
player.  I played at a tourement over apprentice {I forgot the site},
but it was a pretty small tourney on October 2, 1999.  The deck I used
was a haymaker called overheated.  My deck consists of:

3 Fossil Magmars [better than hitmonchan, since so many pokemon are
resistant to fighting :)]
3 scythers [swords dance+slash combo=60 points of damage and can kill
gyarados in one hit!]
3 aerodactyls [no evolution=easy win for haymakers!]
4 electabuzzes [can do 40 damage for 1 electric and 1 colorless energy!]

4 Fossils [no choice]
4 Energy Removals [the ultimate staller!]
3 SER [can get you out of deep s***]
2 super potions [to keep you in the game]
2 energy retrievals [always good in an energy crisis]
3 computer search [the card you want when you want it!]
2 professor oaks [got a bad hand?, use this!]

11 fire energy
8 thunder energy
4 grass energy [i usually use rainbow energy, but this is a good sub.]
4 DCE

Here is my tourney report:

Round 1:a fire deck
A fierce game.  I drew an electabuzz, a scyther, a fossil, an aero, and
3 thunder energies.  he starts with a charmander, and i start with
buzz.  I t-shock and paralyze him while I get aero on my bench and
t-punch him for the KO.  he sends out moltres, with no energy, and
t-punch it twice for the win!

Round 2: a rain dance deck.
i draw a buzz, 3 T energies, and 3 energy removals.  he sends out
magikarp, which i kill with t-punch from buzz and send out a fossil and
aero 3 turns later!  His wartortle and poliwag were no match for
electabuzz! Another win!

Final Round:  a grass deck.
I draw a scyther, 2 DCE, 2 superpotions, 1 fire and 1 lightning energy.
My scyther makes mince meat out of metapod, while a send out fossil and
aero quickly via computer search. I use oak to get out magmar and fry
his 2 bulbasaurs, 1 ivysaur, and pinsir. a win.

This deck has been very successful for me and i am now 15-2 using this
deck (I lost because of bad hands) I hope you post this deck, PoJo.
