Hi, my name is Mike. I started playing pokemon CCG on Saturday (October
2nd). I traded some guy some magic cards, and got a good start on my deck. I
call it "PsyKic". It is a Fighting and Psychic deck. I entered the
tournament not expecting to go as far as I did.

     ***Round 1***
I faced one of my friends. He plays plant and water. He started off with a
Magikarp, and a squirtle on the bench. I started with a Hitmonchan in play,
a Mewtwo and a Mr. Mime on the bench. I already had the upper hand. I won
the coin toss, and played a Fighting Energy on my Hitmo. I used jab, and did
20 damage to his Magikarp. On his turn, he drew a card, and put a water
energy on his benched Squirtle. He then used Pokemon Breeder, and then put
down a Blastoise over top of his Squirtle. Then rain danced to put down two
more water energy on his Blastoise. On my second turn I drew an Abra. I put
it in my Bench. Then killed his Magikarp after placing another Fighting
Energy on Hitmonchan. On his second turn, he put a water energy on his
Blastoise. He did me 40 damage, and weakened my Hitmonchan by a lot. Third
turn. I drew a Kadabra. Then evolved my Abra with it. I used a Potion to
heal my Hitmo back to perfect health.  I put an Energy on my Hitmonchan.
That left me with no hand, so I drew two more cards. I computer searched and
got an Alakazam from my deck. On his turn he drew another card which was a
switch. I knew that because he cursed and threw it across the room. He
damaged me again with 40 damage. On my turn, I drew a Bill. I played it and
picked up a Kangaskhan and a Chansey! How lucky! I put down my Chansey,
Kangi, and evolved my Kadabra into an Alakazam. Full bench. I transfered the
two damage counters from Hitmo to Chansey, and added my last card, a Psychic
Energy, to my Hitmochan. I used Special Punch, and did him a hefty 40
Damage. Bringin him down to 20 HP. I was happy. On his turn he drew a water
energy, and placed it on his Blastoise. He used Blastoise's Cannon or
whatever it is, and did 50 Damage to my Hitmo. I was really P'd off. His
turn was over. I drew a Psychic energy and played it on my Mr. Mime. I used
Special Punch again and finished off his Blastoise. The game depended on his
next draw! He needed a Basic Pokemon.  He drew a NidoKing!!! Ha! I won!

That was my most enjoyable game of them all, because i had such a stacked
bench.

   ***Round 2***

I played some 10 year old kid who was using a fire and electric deck. He had
nothing good through out the whole game. The best thing he had out was a
Charmeleon. But I took care of that with my Kangaskhan. I got four lucky
heads, and killed him in one shot. All of his other pokemon were: growlithe,
pidgey, pikachu, vulpix, and a ponyta. I took care of them easily with my
Hitmo and Mr. Mime. Game over for him.

    ***Round 3*** (Semi Final)

I played a fairly experienced kid. He got out a Nidorino, a NidoQueen, and
two Scythers during the game, but i took care of him with a couple of gusts 
of winds, two Mr. Mimes, and a Machamp. It was a good game, but i won due to
that basic pokemon rule. Meigh.

    ***Round 4*** (Final)

I plain out sucked during this game, I never got anything good enough to
take out the 2 Charizards this kid got in play. I managed to take out one of
them ,using a Chansey on the bench, and Chansey in play, and an Alakazam on
the bench, but once i killed his first, he took out the other stuff i sent
at him. He one. It was a GREAT game.



I played this pokemon tourny at Big "B" Comics in HAMILTON, ONT. Canada. I
won an early edition pack of "Fossils", 2 packs of "Jungle", 2 packs of
"Normal Set", one of them being 1st Edition. There were 22 people that
tourny. The winner got the same stuff, and a holographic card of his choice.
He chose a CHARIZARD! that lucky @#@!@
