Tournament Results:
I wake up on Saturday Morning and decide to ask my dad to drive to the weekly
tourney at Golden Memories.He says Yes and I finally have to decide whether
to use my Raindance or my Haymaker.I finally decided to go with my Raindance
since everyone plays Haymakers and now they're gettin' pretty Lame even
though they are the best decks out there.After the tournament I got home and
started writing.I would put the pictures and the Music on my Report but I'm
not too good with computers and I don't know how to.Well, anyway on to the
tournament!
Round 1 vs. Nice Kid in Adidas Shirt (Why nice? He traded me a Blastoise for
an old issue of Scrye)
Type:Electric/Grass
Game 1:My hand: Suirtle,Blastoise,Articuno,Item Finder and the rest are Water
Energy. I start out with an Articuno with a squirtle on the bench, while he
starts out Electabuzz (Great) and a Magnemite on the bench.He goes first.He
puts down an electric energy and Thundershocks and paralyzes me (Doesn't
matter) and I draw a card and say go.He puts down an energy and
Thunderpunches and it's heads (Darn!) I go and draw a bill.I get another Bill
so I Bill again.I get a Breeder.I evolve to Blastoise and save the energy in
my hand so he goes.He puts a Defender down and Thunderpunches.It's Tails.(If
only he didn't have that Defender).I go and draw an Oak!!!Now that my
Articuno is dead I send in Blastoise and Randance 5 to Blastoise and Oak.I
get an Articuno and put him on the bench and Hydro Pump for 40 (Because of
Defender).He goes and evolves Magnemite to the Fossil Magneton and put his
second energy on Magneton and Thunder Punches.Tails (Yes!).I draw a card and R
aindance 3 to Articuno and kill Electabuzz.I draw a prize (Computer
Search).He sends out Magneton and REVIVES Electabuzz (Darn).He Sonicbooms for
20.I then Raindance 2 to Articuno and Hydro Pump for 60.He preceeds to kill
Blastoise with Magneton.I bring in Articuno and Freeze Dry to kill
Magneton.He brings in Electabuzz and Thunderpunches me (He put an energy on
him last turn).It's Heads.I then Blizzard and kill Electabuzz (Revive left
him with only 30 HP).I win because he ran out of basics.
Game 2: I start with 2 mulligans.......(Great) I draw my hand and get 2
Articuno an Energy Retrieval and 4 energy.He starts with a lone buzz.He goes
first.He shocks me and paralyzes me (Again) and I draw and get an energy and
start to build up my benched Articuno.I put a Water on my benched Articuno
and he goes.He puts an oddish on the bench and then he thunderpunches me (Tail
s) I draw a card and get a computer search.I don't use it but I put another
energy on my benched Articuno.He goes and evolves his Oddish to Gloom,a
Pinsir on the bench, and an energy on the Pinsir.He then Thunderpunches (Heads
) to kill my Articuno.I send out Articuno,draw a card, (Oak) Computer Search,
put a squirtle on my bench,put an energy on Articuno, and then I Oak.I draw a
breeder and a Blastoise but I can not evolve him yet.I Freeze Dry (Tails) and
he goes.He draws a card, puts an energy on Pinsir and ThunderPunches me (Heads
......Geez) and I go.I draw a card and Freeze Dry and kill his Electabuzz.He
sends out Pinsir put a double Colorless on him and Guillotines to kill my
Articuno.I draw a card and Breeder to Blastoise then Raindance 5 energy to
Blastoise (Tip:If you play Raindance, save energy in your hand because it
1.Surprises the opponent and 2.They can't remove it) and kill Pinsir in one
hit.He sends in Gloom,evolves to Vileplume and puts a grass energy on him.I
go and Hydro Pump for 60.He does Heal to remove a damage counter from himself
and puts an energy on Vileplume.I then Hydro Pump and kill his last Pokemon.

Since it's 30 min. a round and I have like 20 min. left, I buy myself the
newest Pokemon Comic for something to do.
Round 2 vs. Short Kid (I know it's rude but he's like the only kid there
that's shorter than me)
Type:Mono-Water
Game 1:My hand is an awesome hand.It was 1 squirtle 1 Breeder 2 Blastoise 2
Energy and a Computer Search.I start out with a squirtle while he starts out
with a horsea (His only Basic).He goes first.He draws a card,puts down an
energy and Smokescreens me.I go,put down an energy and try to attack but I
flipped Tails , so it failed.His turn.He put another energy on Horsea but
forgot to attack, so I told him (That's the type of person I am).I then,
breeder to Blastoise, Raindance 2 water to him flip heads and Hydro Pump for
the win.
Game 2:1 Squirtle 1 Computer Search an Oak and the rest were Energy.He goes
first because he lost. He starts with a Magikarp out and a Poliwag on the
bench.I start with a lone Squirtle.He puts down a water energy and tackles.I
attach a water energy and Bubble him for 10 and paralyze him (Finally).He
goes.I expect a Gyarados but he doesn't have one!!!I go,I computer Search,get
a Breeder,Place it on Squirtle and Oak.I get the Blastoise and I put an
Articuno on the bench.I Raindance 3 energy to Blastoise (Now he has 4) and I
Hydro Pump the Magikarp and draw a prize.He goes, puts down a water energy on
Poliwag and Water Gun's me for 20.I go, draw my card and preceed to Hydro
Pump for the victory.

Round 3 vs. Kid I played last tournament
Type:Grass/Fire
Game 1-My hand was a Breeder Blastoise 2 Computer Searches an Articuno and
the rest were energy. We flip and I go first.He starts with Scyther and a
Pinsir on the bench and I start with an Articuno.I draw my card and get a
Water energy.He goes and puts a Fire energy on Scyther.I go.I draw a Bill.I
get an enrgy retrieval and a Squirtle(Yes!!!) I put an energy on Articuno and
I lay Squirtle on my bench.He goes and puts another Fire energy on Scyther.I
go draw a Water energy,Breeder to Blastoise.I computer Search with a Computer
Search and a Water energy.I get an Oak and get 5 Water energy a Squirtle and
a Bill.I Bill and get a water energy and a Blastoise.I Raindance 2 to
Articuno and use Freeze Dry (Heads) and so he is Paralyzed.H e goes and put a
Charmander on the bench, puts an Energy on Pinsir and lets me go.I draw
another Articuno but I don't put him down.I blizzards and flip (Tails) so I
get 10 damage to my Blastoise.He sends in Charmander,puts an energy on Pinsir
and lets me go.I draw a Computer Search but I just Freeze dry to kill his
Charmander.In comes Pinsir.He does 20 but flip Tails......Yes.I Raindance 5
to Blastoise (that was the exact amount in my hand), retreat Articuno,bring
in Blastoise and Hydro Pump for another victory.
Game 2:My hand is 2 Squirtles 1 Breeder 1 Computer Search 1 Oak 2 Water
Energy (Pretty good hand if you ask me).I start with 2 squirtles and he
starts with a lone Charmander.He goes first a Scratches me for 10.I go, draw
a card and let him go.He embers and kills my first Squirtle and it's my
turn.I go computer Search for Blastoise, Breeder to Blastoise,Oak,and Hydro
Pump that Charmander to oblivion!!!

Round 4 vs. Vishal
Type: Fire/Fighting (Too easy)
Game 1:I draw an Articuno and all energy (I figure I've got this game).I
start Articuno and he gets a Hitmonchan with the old Magmar on the bench.He
goes first and puts an energy on Magmar.I go and put an energy on Articuno.He
goes, puts an energy on Magmar,Scoops Up Hitmonchan sends in Magmar and Fire
Punches for 30 (Uh Oh!) I draw a Computer Search!I get an Oak but only get
another Articuno a Breeder and Energy.I put an energy on my benched Articuno
and he goes.He puts another Fire on Magmar and Flamethrowers and kills my
Articuno.I send in my Articuno and draw a Squirtle (Yippie!!!) I put an
energy on Articuno and he goes.He puts a Fire on Magmar and Flame throwers
with two PlusPowers!!! I send in Squirtle and buble for 20 (Tails).He again
Flamethrowers and gets the Win.(Uh Oh)
Game 2:This game was much,much better.My hand Breeder,Oak,2 Computer
Searches,an Articuno,2 Water Energy. He starts 3 Machops and I start with an
Articuno (Again!) and I go first. I draw a Blastoise (What Luck).I computer
search for a Squirtle and put him on the bench and then let him go.He puts a
ponyta on the bench and a fire energy on Ponyta and lets me go.I breeder to
Blastoise draw my card (Water Energy) and Raindace 3 to Articuno and Oak.I
Bill twice and now I have a benched Articuno with no energy (I save it in my
hand just in case) and put another on Articuno and Blizzard (Tails.......Again
!) and kill Machop.He goes and Supers me,Oaks Supers me again to stall(Now
without any energy on anyone) and lets me go.I pour down another 4 on
Articuno after drawing my card (Water Energy) and kill another Machop.He now
puts the old Magmar on the bench, a Fire Energy on him and lets me go.I draw
a card, kill his last Machop and it's his turn.He sends in Ponyta and puts a
Fire on Magmar.My turn,I draw and kill again.He sends out Magmar puts a Fire
on him and Oaks.He puts a Chan on his bench and he Flamethrowers me for fifty
(Ouch!).Another draw and kill!!!(I love those!!!)He sends in Chan.I draw and
Freeze Dry (Heads) and the next turn I preceed to kill Hitmonchan for my last
prize!
Game 3:I make the Top 8 no matter what so I'm not too afraid of this game
even though it can go either way.Well anyway, to the game.My hand 1 Squirtle
2 Bills and 4 Water Energy.He starts with a Fossil Magmar with a
Hitmonchan
on the bench while I start........Squirtle.He goes and Smokescreens me.I go
and draw an Articuno!!!I Bill twice and get another Squirtle and a Computer
Search.I fail the Bubble (Smokescreen) and he goes.He puts another Fire on
Magmar and pluspowers but flips heads anyways with Smog and kills my
Squirtle.I draw and Computer Search for an Oak and get a breeder 3 Blastoise
a Bill an Articuno and a Water Energy.I Bill and get two more Water.I
Breeder to Blastoise and Freeze dry for 60 and flip Tails so he goes.He puts
down a Ponyta and a Double Colorless energy on him and Smogs and Poisons.I go
and kill Magmar and my prize is an Oak.He sends in Ponyta and hits me for 20
and of turn 30 so my Articuno is dead.I send in Blastoise Oak and get an
Item Finder a Breeder and 5 Water Energy.I Raindance 3 to Blastoise and kill
Ponyta.He sends in Chan and Jabs.I go, draw , and Hydro Pump for 40.He draws
and forfeits because he is gonna lose next turn.We both make the Top 8
though.I Win!!!

snack the Top 8 is about to start.
QuarterFinals vs. Kid From Round 1
Type Electric/Grass
Game 1:I draw a Squirtle a Bill 2 Breeders a Comp. Search and 2 Water
energy.I go first.I start a Squirtle and he starts a Magnemite with a Pinsir
on the bench.I draw and it's a Squirtle.I put him on the bench and I Bill.I
draw an Articuno and an Item Finder.I don't put Articuno on the bench but I
bubble (Heads) and I let him go.He puts an energy on Magnemite and a
Magnemite on the bench and I go.I go and draw a Water energy.I Computer
Search with 2 Water energy, take an Oak, put the Breeder on the Active
Squirtle, put Articuno on the bench, Oak,I get a Blastoise an Articuno and
mostly energy.I breeder to Blastoise a RainDance 2 energy to Blastoise and I
kill Magnemite.He puts an energy on Magnemite and sends out Pinsir.I RainDance
2 to Blastoise and kill Pinsir.He sends out Magnemite and
SelfDestructs?!?!?!?!? I Win because he didn't have any Pokeomon left.
Game 2:My hand is 3 Blastoise!!! (That isn't always a good thing) an Articuno
an Oak and a Squirtle and a Water energy.He goes first.He starts out with
Scyther and I start out with Articuno with no Squirtle on the bench.He goes
and Sword Dances.I draw a Bill.I Bill and get an Energy and a Bill.I get a
Breeder and an Energy Retrieval.I put Squirtle on the bench and he goes.He
slaps down a Double Colorless and a Pluspower (There goes Articuno) I go,
Breeder to Blastoise and RainDance 3 to Blastoise and Hydro Pump for 40.He
goes, Slashes and I go.I draw and Hydro Pump him out of the tournament.Good
Game!

I'm starting to get nervous because I made it so far and only VERY good

Semi-finals vs. Kid from Round 3
Type: Grass/Fire
Game 1:After Mulliganing.........3 Times!!! I get 1 Squirtle and 6 Energy.He
starts Pinsir with a charmander and a Pinsir on the bench.He goes first (Uh-Oh
).He puts down a grass energy and I go.I draw a Bill!! but only get Water
Energy.I go and Bubble (Heads).He puts an energy on Pinsir and I go.I draw a
Computer Search.I go for an Oak.I get a breeder Articuno Computer Search and
energy (Awesome!) I search for a Blastoise and Raindance my only two Water
Energy on Blastoise and Hydro Pump for 40.He goes,puts a Scyther on the bench
and puts and energy on him.He Irongrips my Blastoise and Paralyzes me.I go
and do nothing.He goes,puts another energy on Scyther puts a Doduo on the
bench, and Irongrips (Tails).I go and kill Pinsir (By this time my whole hand
is 2 water energy). He goes sends in Scyther, puts down an energy and
Slashes.I draw a Water Energy and Raindance 3 to Articuno and Pump him for
40.He goes,puts an energy on Doduo and kills my Blastoise.I go draw a Bill.I
get a Water energy and an Energy Retrieval.I retrieval with a Water energy to
get 2 Water Energy, put a Watter Energy on Articuno and Freeze Dry to kill
his Scyther.He sends in Doduo and puts an energy on Pinsir and PlusPowers to
Fury Attack me for 20.I go and draw an Articuno , put an energy on him and
Blizzard and flip (Heads!) he sends in Charmander and puts an energy on him
and scratces me for 10.I go put an energy on my benched Articuno and Blizzard
to kill his Charmander.He goes and sends in Pinsir and puts down an energy
and Irongrips for 20 (Tails) I then Blizzard and kill Pinsir (Because he got
10 from a Blizzard before)for the Win!
Game 2:My hand is 1 Articuno 1 Computer Search and 5 Water Energy.He starts
with a Scyther.He goes first.He puts down a Grass Energy and Sword Dances, I
go.I draw an Energy Retrieval.Thinking he can win next turn with a PlusPower
and a Double Colorless I Computer Search and get an Oak.I get 1 Squirtle 3
Bills and 3 Energy!!!I put Squirtle down and Bill 3 times.I get a Blastoise a
Computer Search, and 4 Water Energy.I let him go.He puts a fire energy on
Scyther and Sword Dances.I go.I draw another Water energy and Computer Search
with 2 Water Energy to take a Breeder and I Breeder to Blastoise.I RainDance 3
to Articuno, Freeze Dry and Flip (Tails) He goes and puts down a PlusPower
to Kill Articuno.I draw and get a Water Energy (Yes!!!) I RainDance 3 to
Blastoise and again I Hydro Pump for the win!

Now I'm as nervous as I can get, heading into the Finals, because I find out
that my opponent is Jason Imperiale and basically everytime I've made the
Finals I've been against him.Needless to say, I've only won one tournament
and it wasn't against him!

Finals vs. Jason (currently ranked 10th in the world)
Type:Fight/Electric
Game 1:I start out with 2 Squirtles a Blastoise a Computer Search and 3 Water
Energy.(WoW!).I start Squirtle with a Squirtle on the bench.He starts with a
Tauros and no bench.I get the Coin Flip and go first.I draw a Water Energy
and bubble and Paralyze him.He goes, puts an Electric energy on Tauros and I
go.I draw another Water Energy and put one on Squirtle and then I Computer
Search with 2 Water Energy get an Oak and I Oak (I didn't go for the Breeder
because I wouldn't have been able to win that turn with a lack of energy).I
get another Blastoise 2 Energy Retrievals 1 Breeder and an Item Finder a
Squirtle and an Articuno.I breeder to Blastoise Item Finder with two
Energy
Retrievals and get the Oak.I get a bunch of Water Energy and another
Articuno.I RainDance 2 more Water Energy and Hydro Pump for the Win!
Game 2:I starts with an Articuno 5 Water Energy and an Energy Retrieval. (Now
he's getting the luck)He start out with a Tauros with a Hitmonchan on the
bench.He goes first because he lost.He puts down a Double Colorless on Tauros
and Stomp's me for 30.I draw a Water Energy it down on Articuno.He puts
another energy on Tauros and Stomps me for 30.I go, put down another Water
Energy and he goes.He draws and Stomps for the Win (Darn!).I asked if he
wanted to split (He has 4 buzzes in his deck) and we would each get $15.00
cash and a $5.00 gift Certificate.He didn't want to so......
Game 3:This was a very exciting (and very quick) match.I get out with a good
start.......1 Squirtle 1 Breeder 2Blastoise and 3 Water Energy (Not too shabby
). I start with a Squirtle and he starts out with a Buzz up front. I go
first. I draw a Water Energy.I put a Water Energy down and bubble (Tails).He
goes, puts an Electric down on Buzz and does ThunderShocks (Tails) I draw and
get another Breeder.I Breeder to Blastoise, RainDance 3 to Blastoise and
Hydro Pump for 50.
Now for the most exciting part of the tournament!
He draws and all he does is put down an Electric energy.Now he is going to
ThunderPunch.If it is Head then I lose.If it's tails then I win.We had
someone else come over to flip the coin.He flips and............it's Tails!!!
I win the tournament!!!
The Turnout
So, I win my second tournament ever and $30.00.I buy a pack of Gym 2 for
$10.00 and I get a Sabrina's Gengar.....the only Gym 2 Holographic that I
already have!The good thing that came out of it was that I traded it for an
American Clafable Holographic.I saved the rest for Christmas presents.
