Hey fellow Pokčholics!  Pojo you rock and can you post
this in the Killer Deck Reports section, under
Apprentice!? Well, I don't know how many of you have
Apprentice but I do and I have noticed a couple things
about the Big 3.  Playing on Apprentice I have noticed
Damage Swap has gotton kicked of the Big 3 decks.
Well I personaly play Rain Dance and Damage Swap in
real life, but on the internet I made a new deck.
Considering when I play Aprrentice 90% of the people I
play use Haymaker, It plain rules.  Rain Dance is seen
every once in awhile but Damage Swap is never seen.  I
will decribe why the cards listed below are used and a
recent Apprentice tournamet I was in.  I have had
troubles in tourneys until I have recently invented
this new deck, well, here it is:

4 Gastly (Fossil)
2 Haunter (Fossil)
4 Jigglypuff
2 Wigglytuff
4 Drowzee
4 Mr. Mime

4 Computer Search
2 Gust on Wind
4 Plus Power
2 Professor Oak
4 Super Energy Removal

4 Double Colorless
20 Psychic Energy

Well this deck is a type of "Psychic Haymaker" I
guess.  It has worked well against every Haymaker deck
I have come across.  Obveiously, It does not dominate
Haymaker, but I almost always beat them.  I will
explain how each card works in this deck, please if
email me with any suggestions or comments.

Gastly - Exelent starter.  No weakness, resistance to
fighting, and a good attack for one energy and a
chanse of paralization, and a free retreat.  Since
Hitmonchan is seen alot in Haymaker (Although the
Fossil Magmar, I have noticed, is starting to take its
place because of all the Pokčmon with resistance to it
that are starting to be seen more and more) he is your
best guy against him.

Haunter - Transparency helps alot!  When you attack
with this mean dude you put them to sleep, so they
have to flip to see if their Pokčmon awakens, then
they only have a 5o% of getting through Transparency!
Leaving a 25% of this guy even being touched.  His
attack only does 10, but does 20 to Hitmonchan and can
slowly take down any card in a Haymaker deck.  Free
retreat isn't bas either.

Jigglypuff - The Mime shows up often in Haymaker
decks, and Jigglypuff can't even be touched by him and
kills Mr. Mime in two turns.  Not a bad basic (Just
keep him away from 'Chan) and his evoultion is awsome!

Wigglytuff - Everyone Do The Wave!  This little guy is
just mean.  60 damage, that means with a PlusPower he
can kill every Pokčmon that shows up in Haymaker
(Hitmonchan, Magamar, Electabuzz, Scyther), except Mr.
Mime, in just one hit!  He is the MVP (Most Valuable
Pokčmon) in this deck, although I only put two in.

Drowzee - Don't laugh, this guy had potential!
Confuse Ray has helped me alot, and with 50 HP he can
usually stay alive long enough to confuse the Pokčmon.
As soon as the new Pokčmon Patch comes out for
Apprentice with the Promos I am replacing Drowzee with
the Movie Promo Mewtwo.

Mr. Mime - What can I say?  He kicks butt.  Takes out
Scyther, stops Electabuzz from using Thunderpunch and
prevents other Mimes untill you can get a
Jiggly/Drowzee/Gastly ready to pound him. Even stops a
unprepared Rain Dance deck in it's tracks.

Computer Search - Get me the card I need and want
right now.  Need a PlusPower?  Need that
Haunter/Wiggly?  How about a Professor Oak?  Then this
is your card.

Gust of Wind - Don't let anyone run away from you!
This card is sometimes underestimated and is very
effective!

PlusPower - You would be amazed what 10 extra damage
has done for me.  Makes Wiggly a one attack nightmare.
Sweet.

Professor Oak - Want a new start?  This card has come
through for me alot.

Super Energy Removal - Cheap? Yes.  I am sorry but I
never see a deck without this card, and It does make
me mad.  I put this card in to buy me some time to
recover from there lately played SER.

Double Colorless Energy - Makes Wiggly and Jiggly much
more effective and faster.

Psychic Energy - Duh!

Tournament results:

The tourneys are on Apprentice are usually
single-elimination and don't last very long.  I will
decribe the semi-finals and finals matches of two
recent tourneys I was in.

Round 6 - Semi-finals

Like I said early, most people on Apprentice play
Haymaker, and this guy had a very well built one.
Well, due to lack of time this match was to be a Death
Match (1 prize) match.  It wasn't too hard, I started
off with a Gastly, both Haunters, a Wiggly, a Computer
Searh, and energy.  I layed my gastly attached a
energy and licked with no paralization.  He had a
Electabuzz as his atcive, two 'Chans on his bench.  He
shocked me with paralization.  I drew another energy
layed it on Gastly and evolved into Haunter.  I then
ditched my other Haunter and one of the Wigglys for a
Professor Oak and then used it.  I drew a PlusePower,
2 Mr. Mimes, and 4 more Energy.  I layed one of the
Mimes, and Nightmared.  This went on a couple of turns
with him attempting to wake up then sucessfully
attack, but only happend once.  So during this time I
was building up my Mr. Mime and drawing usless cards,
while he was building up 'Chans and a Scyther on his
bench. After I had the 'Buzz down to like 20 HP, he
Scooped Uped and brought out Scyther, relayed 'Buzz
put in energy on it and retreated Scyther and brough
up Electabuzz again.  Next turn I drew a Computer
Search, and instantly searched for a Gust of Wind.  My
Haunter was close to dead and so I retreated him
brought up Mr. Mime and and Gusted up Hitmonchan.
Meditated him and used a Super Energy Removal to get
rid of any chanse of it retreating.  His turn he used
Switch and gusted up my Haunter.  Attempted Thunder
Punch for the win and it flipped in my favor, Yess.  I
couldn't ever kill Electabuzz with Haunter before he
would kill me so I brought up the Mime and used 2
PlusPowers to do 30 damage (Yes, next turn if he
does't get heads with Thundershock I can Meditate for
40 and win).  He attemps to Paralize the Mime and
PlusPowers and paralization works.  Next turn I let
him go and he paralizes with Thundershock then I lose,
if tails I win.  Well, he flipped tails and I win.
Going on to the finals.

Round 7 - Fianls

This guy was preety easy compared to the last guy.
Again this was another stupid Death Match and he
played a Rain Dance.  Before I layed my Basics he had
to mulligan showing me his hand I instantly relized he
was playing Rain Dance.  I layed a lone Mime and kept
the other one in my hand.  He wins flip and goes
first.  He lays in Articuno and two Squirltes.  Lays a
energy on Articuno and says go.  My turn I Comp Search
for a Plus Power and since I had another in my hand, I
knew this match could end quickly.  I lay a energy on
Mime and say go.  He breeders a Squirlte and Rain
Dances his Articuno to full power and declares an
attak.  I start my turn and he says "Uh, Mr. Mime
takes 30 from Freeze Dry" I said "No, read his Power"
and he told me that since he got heads on Freeze Dry
that power did't work since he was paralized.  I
explained to him how it actually work and he threw a
fit.  Well told him to go and He attempted
paralization, and no effect.  (If he was smart he
would retreat it and try attck with squirlte, oh well)
So I double PlusPower and he takes 30.  Next turn he
attacks no paralization.  He said "Yey, I win" those
were his exact words, and I said "What!"  So he goes
to the main room and explains to everyone that he beat
me so bad.  The only flaw with Apprenitce is that
people can easily lie like that.  So anyway, I tell
everyone that I was going to win, and that this kid
was a liar, and they never did belive me.  Oh well.  I
know that I won and that he didn't =)
