The following deck was done at a local store, named The Encounter.  Located in East Stroudsburg PA.  Tourtaments are always Friday, sign-ups at 5:-5:30.  We play 3 rounds of Swiss, followed by either a top 8, or top 16 depending on the turn out, which is single elimination.  This tourtament happened to have around 50-52 people incolved so it was top 16.  Top eight get store credit with the top 2 getting more than everyone else.

The following deck includes many Japanese cards and will be the deciding factor once Gym II comes out in American.

4 Full Heal Energies from TR Pack- Colorless energy that when played acts as a full Heal

This deck has many advantges and basically uses SER's, which with the 1st Attack has no disadvantge, to build up to a 70 pt attack.  Then you use super potions to heal yourself and attack for 70, repeat until game won.

1st round- Versus fire deck

The game started with his charmander and one evee, I had no Pokemon then I got one Zapados.  I won the flip and started with computer(discarding two energies) for an electric, Plasma(1st attack name) and attached the energy.  He attaches and does scratch.  I draw, plus power, plasma- knock out charmander.  He draws no other pokemon and next time I do 70 and win.

2nd Round- VS Haymaker

He draws Hitmochan and Scyther, I lay down Zapados.  The first few rounds he tries to power up scyther's sword dance, but I ER and SER while doing plasma.  I draw another Zapados and Prof Oak twice, while his scyther dies and his Haymaker sits their uselessly.  I finally power up the 70 and knock out his Hitmochan and another One for the win.

3rd Round- vs Raindance

This was slow for me only drawing one energy, but he professor Oaked 3 times, billed twice and couldnt get the combo going. He had 3 Moltres, 1 Lapras and a Squirtle.  It seems early on he discard 2 breeders and 2 Blastoise(he has 4 of each) in the oaking to get a Squirtle.  We go and then he realizes all of his other breeders AND Blastoises are in his prizes and since he needed energy and I had already done 3 SER's and had a Powered up Zapados he conceds.

1st Round top 16- Haymaker Variant with Magmar.

he had a bad Draw, and I think my name (Old man on the Mountain) Was getting to be legendary with this deck. He only had a magmar and couldnt get good flips with Smog.  When he finally poisoned my only ZapadosI had a Full HEal ready.  I finally knocked him out with Plasma+ 2 Plus power.

2nd round top 8- haymaker again - straight fighting

he only drew Hitmochan's, My two Zapados's wrecked him with ER;s and Plasma.  He got one lucky shot with a Special punch and 4 Plus powers to knock out one Zapados but that was it.

3rd Round- top 4- Pyschic Deck with Promo Mewtwo's

This was my toughtest battle since he got back all the Energy I destroyed.  The only drawback for him was that my Retirval did damage while his had to wait.  We traded many pokemon and both had one prize left when I Oaked down to two cards, and drew two Pluspowers to over come his two defenders.

4th Round- Final 2-  We drew as this was the Blastoise kid again and he had to go home(The tourney was getting over around 9:30)  I was happy with 15 dollars Store Credit.
