TOXIC BLADES

The tournament, on Sunday 5,1999, was held at
California Card Co, in Elk Grove. It started at 12:00 and lasted 'til 5:00.
The first hour was basically trading. About 40 people showed for the trading
but a few left. In the end 24 people were in. My friend Robert also
went with his Raindance, our record is tied 1 37-37, If we faced here and I
won I got bragging rights.
Here's What makes Toxic Blades, Toxic Blades
Pokemon (20)
4x Nidoran Male- He's got a good attack, but
better evolved
2x Nidorino- I got breeders. He has good attack
bad HP
3x Nidoking- He's the whole point. His Toxic
wins in no time
4x Scyther- He sword dances, slashes and he
can take a hit
4x Venonat- He can stall, but his evolution is
used
3x Venomoth- He can stall and kill at the
same time.

This is how this deck works:
1 First you get out Scyther + Nidoking or
Venomoth
2 Next you send up Nidoking or Venomoth, and
Poison them
3 Then you retreat or switch your active with
Scyther
4 Lastly you Sword Dance while the poison is
killing his/her active
5 Next Turn you Slash to kill his active
6 Repeat
Here's how I won two packs.
Round 1 Me Vs. Haymaker
His deck was a Hitmonchan, Elctrabuzz, Areodacytal Hay.
I Started with Scyther up and Venonat benched. He Started
with Hitmonchan up and a M. Fossil benched. I went first, and got Scyther to
do 60 in two turns. He evolved to Areodacytal so my Venomoth was suck in my
hand. Next turn I killed Hitmochan. So he sent up Areodacytal. Next
turn I Slashed and won. My scyther took 10 damage that's all.
Record 1-0 To Easy
Round 2 Me Vs. Raindance (Robert)
I started up with Nidoran and Venonat benched. He had
Articuno. I horn hazarded him twice, one worked. I Evolved venonat.
Then he killed my Nidoran. I sent up Venomoth and killed Articuno in two
turns. He got a Dewgong out and killed my Venomoth, but he got poisoned in
the process. I got Scyther out, killed him and won by eventually killing a
Gyarados, with two energy, one more turn I would have died.
Record 2-0 That was close
Round 3 Me Vs Fire/Psychic
To make a long story short he had Gengar and Charizard.
His Charmeleon killed my Venomoth + Sycther, and Gengar killed my Nidoking.
He got all his prizes, I got 1
Record 2-1 That sucked
Round 4 Me Vs Eevee Deck
This deck was cool it had all three Eevee bros. I started
with Nidoran, him eevee. I did thirty first turn, he tail waged second. I
then scared him third turn with a Nidoking because of breeder. I toxic his
first eevee and he died. He then had a vaporeon and did Forty. I did
Toxic next turn he did water gun for fifty for the kill. I sent up scyther
and let the poison kill vaporeon. I sword danced. He sent up and eevee
which went to Jolteon but then he Devolution spray to Flareon. He hit my
scyther for 120 but he had lighting energy on him so I said he could
only quick attack. He did sixty. Then I used a super potion, and did slash
for sixty. Next turn he won by flipping heads on Quick Attack. After
the game he showed me his hand, it had two more eevees. If I did the
math right that's five eevee. He went to tell the director he won
but I told him not to because your deck was illegal. So we made a
deal that I didn't tell the director but he gave me the win. We
tied for Third.
