This deck goes out to Scott, just cuz Farfetch'd is the old school Scyther
and totally rocks! Anyway, I played this deck (even though its my number 3
deck) at LA Cards and Comics and did quite well, assuming this deck isn't
exactly a competitive deck. It still holds its own. I also wanted to give a
deck sort of a Christmas type theme so I added lotsa Jynx (from the Japanese
X-Mas Special) and put in some Mime just because they embarrass heavy hitters
and added Chan for the competitive edge. I played in a field of about 55
people on Dec 1. Ready....lets go!

The Deck (came up with it in Biology class)
11x Psychic Energy
10x Fighting
4x DCE
4x Farfetch'd (less HP but classic.....right Scott?) <ed note:  YUP! - Scott>
1x Scyther (New Fetch, just here to confuse people)
3x Jynx (Christmas theme)
3x Mr. Mime (Charizard and Blastoise look like big wussies!)
4x Hitmonchan (Beat down....pure beat down!)
2x Doduo (I take after Imakuni? Oh well....I still win)
1x Dodrio (Retreat Aid makes this guy a great bench warmer!)

4x Energy Removal
2x Super Energy Removal
3x Plus Power
1x Energy Retrieval
1x Item Finder
3x Bill
1x Scoop Up
1x Gust of Wind

Ok.....I wore a santa hat and carried a leek around (weird huh?) anyway, I
sat down across from my opponent. He called my leek an onion!! I wanted to
Leek Slap him but didn't have a coin handy! I decided to just say Merry
Christmas and beat him down during the game. I got a pretty nasty hand. My
only basic was Fetch'd so I Billed and came up with Jynx. Looks like a Muk
deck. I Leek Slapped and landed it. His Grimer took 30 and my Farfetch'd was
pretty beat up. I Scooped him up and brought up my Jynx Double Slapped and
KOed his Grimer another stepped up and I was ready to Meditate. After Jynx
was rolling he just couldn't keep his head above water and finally broke
under the constant pressure. Gave him a candy cane and a leek and went on to
the next round.

Another leek hater. He made the Farfetch'd connection but still didn't like
it. I got a nice hand including Fetch and Chan. I decided to mix it up with Ch
an early. He looks to be playing Hay. Chan vs. Chan early and I lose the Jab
race. I don't see Buzz yet so I start with Fetch. I Pot Smash him into
oblivion and then Buzz comes out. Dead Fetch. My last defense is Jynx or
Dodrio. I send out Dodrio and pray for tails. I survive and draw a Plus
Power. What a combo! He never saw it coming. I did 70 damage and Pearl
Harbored him. Game. Set. Match. Another leek and candy cane.

Ah, someone familiar next. He loves the Farfetch'd X-Mas gag. I scan him for
signs of confidence and wonder what hes playing. This deck is almost as weird
as mine, I see as the match starts. Looks like 3 color. He starts with Lapras
and I beat him down with Scyther. He brings up a Fossil Magmar and I duck out
with Scyther. Chan comes up and teaches him respect. A Jynx next, I counter
with Mime. He keeps getting both or no heads on Double Slap and the Jynx
falls too. He pulls out more stuff like Scyther and Articuno but I'm able to
beat them all down. We go the limit and I'm on top. He graciously accepts the
candy cane and leek. I keep on movin'.

Eeshi! I run into a highly ranked DCI player, higher than me! I know whats
coming, Stall. I hate Stalling, oh so cowardly. I know what I need to do to
win. Do lots of damage and not Bill, keep 6 to 7 card in hand and relax. He
starts with Chansey and begins trying to evolve his Abra to Kazam. I charge
up Fetch'd and gust up the benched Abra. I kind of relax seeing all he has
left but another Chansey. He comes back, hard and fast. Farfetch'd gets Edged
and another Abra and then Kadabra shows up. We go the limit again and I have
5 cards left. I Item Find for Gust and then blast his Abra (he had to play it
because of the DCI ruling). Another come from behind shocker, I see this deck
needs work. Good bye leek and candy cane, hello finals.

Another Haymaker. I have no fear, I know how these things work. I'm facing
someone known for being a potential cheater and turn on my radar. I know I
can win without it. He starts with his Scyther and I use Farfetch'd. Old vs.
New! I ER his DCE and laugh at him. "Oops...I hope that wasn't your
strategy!". I beat him down and then he played another DCE. I ERed it again
and watched him get mad. I noticed him losing focus. I smack his other stuff
around with Chan and laugh as I SER two of his DCE on a Scyther. Next turn he
plays another one. I call over the deck judge. 5 DCE, he claims one got in
their on accident. They say I win, but I want to humiliate him, he deserves
it. I finish him off quickly and collect my prize.

Well, pretty cool huh? Its a fun deck, not a world champion but really cool.
I feel very proud of myself. I showed the world the power of FARFETCH'D!!!
Someday he shall rule the world with an iron....leek. Well maybe not. Anyway,
Merry Christmas and to all a good Leek Slap.
