Hello.  Every Saturday I go to Collectors World to play in their
Pokemon tournaments and I finally decided to write a tourney report.  This
time I chose to experiment with Promo Mewtwo, man this guy is good.  There
were 34 people there, not bad, keep up the good work you guys.  Anyhoo, this
is the deck, it is called the Backstabber.

  The Deck

ENERGY (21)

17 Psychic Energy
4 Double Colorless

POKEMON  (16)

3 Promo Mewtwo
3 Scyther
2 Mr. Mime
3 Fossil Gastly
3 Fossil Haunter
1 Chansey
1 Kangaskhan

TRAINERS  (23)

4 Energy Removal
3 Super Energy Removal
2 Item Finder
1 Energy Retrieval
3 Pro. Oak
2 Gust of Wind
3 Bill
2 Mr. Fuji
1 Comp. Search
2 Scoop Up

The tournament was single elimination one game so I hope I get
good hands.  I really don't like the 1 round tourneys but ohh well.  My
friend Mike K. didn't go this week which is a shame because he has a really
good deck.  Before the tournament I traded for Promo Mewtwo's and I LOVE
them.  I am always going to use them, yes sir.

ROUND 1

Kid who didn't really know how to play.  Fighting/Plant

I really don't like playing these kids because I never no how to go easy
on them.  He is playing a strange deck  with Machops and Oddishes.  He starts
Kangaskhan with Machop on his bench and I start with a Chansey and a Mewtwo.
That Kangaskhan will really be a menace so I charge up Chansey for the double
edge and let Kangaskhan have it.  A really good prize trade for me because it
would've been impossible to take down Kangaskhan with my Mewtwo.  I removal
his Machop and Psyburn the Machop and his new Oddish for the win. Yay.  I
hope I can play better players next round.

ROUND 2

Hyperactive kid with Water but it not a Raindance deck.  Go figure?

He is using Krabby's, Kingler's, and Articunos.  He starts with a lone
Krabby.  Not good for him at all.  I have Scyther as active and Gastly on the
bench.  I lay and energy on Scyther And let him go. He puts down a water and
doesn't answer my laying of energy with a removal.  Thank God!  I put down
the Double and slash Krabby and now the Gastly is a Haunter.  He holds me off
with a Chansey and we have a little removal war.  It is surprising me at how
long this kid is holding on.  We are both down in our library's and I begin
to load my active Mewtwo with energy from my graveyard.  I have about 10
energys on it and then I retreat and Fuji it in.  I am now up by two cards.
Prizes are at 1 for him and 2 for me.  I have to hold on for five turns.  I
make it with some help from my scrunchin' Chansey.  Good game.

ROUND  3

Bryan with a Psychic Stall deck  (with energy)

He starts with an Abra and a Scyther, me with 2 Mr. Mimes.  Ohh man this
could be really bad.  He also wins the coin flip.  He retreats Scyther and
starts working over my Mr. Mime with his Abra.  Things are BAD.  He kills
Mime number 1 and does 20 to Mime number 2.  I draw an Oak and am rewarded
with a Kangaskhan and a Scyther.  That was close.  From there on I hit his
Abra's and never let him get to Alakazam.  Mewtwo works over his bench. WIN,
but could have easily been a lose.

ROUND 4

Steve playing a Gengar deck, could be bad

Nothing to report here.  Even though it was 2 out of 3 because it was the
final 4 he just got wasted.  I removaled him heavily and Mewtwo ripped up his
bench.  What I thought was going to be a hard match turned out to be an easy
win.

FINALS

Jordan playing a Venusaur/Nidoking deck

Jordan is the ultimate trash talker and just won't shut up.  He needs to
be beaten up.  He wins the first game because I get a really bad had. Aww
man.  I come back in the second game and gust up 3 Bulbasaurs for the win.
He starts to quiet down since he lost.  3rd game,  he gets a jump on me with
a Nidoking but damages himself with Thrash and then MewTwo does a clean 80 to
him to take him down.  Now I just mow through so Bulbasaurs and Nidorans for
the win.

record 5:0:0

A good tourney for me.  I finally shut Jordan up, yay.  The world will
soon thank me for this.  My 4th win in a row.  I got a TR pack which I opened
to find an Evil Blastoise.
Now it's time for props and slops.

props to Jordan for loseing. sorry I have to rub it in your face Jordy boy.
props Scott for holding another great tournament
props Props to Eric for giving me the Giovani's Nidorina I needed to complete
my set

slops to Jordan for being so cocky

Any comments I would love to hear from you.
