7-7-03 - I'm Back!

What’s Up?

Well, a couple of weeks ago I got an email forwarded to me from Pojo.com about the price guide for Expedition and when the site was going to put pricing information on the listing. Along with the email was a question about whether I wanted to continue doing the price guides. This was a valid question since Pojo knows that I have been sort of out of Pokemon for a while. Yes, it is hard to believe, but I found another TCG that I liked and moved to. That game was Harry Potter TCG. Unfortunately, this game has been stopped by WOTC.

So after I got the email, I looked to see how out of date the price guides were. Some are over a year old! Ouch. Then I noticed that Gym Leader Phil had a bunch of articles about subjects that I used to do. I was jealous. Maybe, even a little mad. The reality is that he filled a need that I was not providing. Then it occurred to me; that two people (or more) contributing information to the site will give a better and more balanced presentation. One person, no matter how hard they try, has some bias that they bring to the table.

What does this mean? It means that I will continue to do the Price Guides, but I am bringing in a partner. I need the help and a partner will help correct any bias I have. Please help me welcome my partner: Birgir Gudjonnson. Birgir is from Iceland and has helped me in the past with the pricing guides as well as getting information about new Japanese sets (both cards and translations).

I have met many people through my association with Pojo.com. Pokemon is a global game. I have corresponded with folks from every continent (except for Antarctica) and about 40 countries concerning this card game. That is quite amazing. Thank you all for the nice emails. It is fun to “talk” to you all.

Our schedule will be to get Expedition and Aquapolis up this week with pricing information and a Skyridge listing without pricing. Then we will work on the ADV sets as well as start from the beginning and look at each listing to make sure that everything is up to date. The only change I see coming is that we will look to change the way we display the Japanese promo listings; doing this by year verse one large listing.

Thanks!
