Kyle Theaker's Deck Garage
April 11, 2005

Hello, everyone.  I’m back with another fix.  Before I start, though, I have a few rules for my garage.

  1. Please tell me what kind of access you have to cards.
  2. Please state the deck theme in the subject line.
  3. Please state whether it is Modified or Unlimited.
  4. Please state your deck’s strategy.
  5. Please give me a name.  It can be your Screen Name or your real name, but give me something.
  6. I DO NOT do constructions.  I’m a mechanic; I fix decks.

Okay, those are my rules.  Now, on to the deck.  This deck was submitted by James.

Ok this deck seems kind of odd but I think it is good lol. I can get most of every card but not all of them. Please help me with my deck Kyle.    Here it is:

3 gastly
2 haunter
3 gengar ex
2 pidgey
1 pidgeotto
2 pidgeot
2 wigglytuff ex
1
wigglytuff (fr lg healer)
3 jigglypuff
2 iglybuff
4 dunsparse
23 pokemon

4 stevens advice
4 celio net works
2 copycat
2 tv reporter
2 bill' s maintenance
3 atm rock
3 rare candy
1 switch
2 acient tomb
20 trainers

14 psychic
3 boost

Okay, this seems like a very fun deck.  I’m gonna focus on the Wiggly/Gengar line.  You’re running a lot of Pokémon.  This is okay, but I gotta cut some for space.  Let’s drop the FR/LG Wiggly and the Igglybuff.  This opens 3 slots.  You also have too many cards in your deck.  I’m going to have to cut 2 Dunsparce for space.

-Wigglytuff (FR/LG)

-2 Igglybuff

- 2 Dunsparce

Now we gotta boost the Wigglytuff Ex line.  Let’s add a Jigglypuff and 2 Wigglytuff Ex.  This sets you up for maximum Wiggly rampage.

+ 1 Jigglypuff

+ 2 Wigglytuff ex

Now, let’s look at the Trainers.  With Pidgeot, you don’t need 4 Celios.  Let’s drop 2.  Let’s also lose the Bill’s Maintenance and the Ancient Tombs.  You run a lot of Ex cards, so Ancient Tomb isn’t too helpful.

-        2 Bill’s Maintenance

-        2 Ancient Tomb

Now, we’ll add 1 Copycat, 1 TV Reporter, and 1 Rare Candy.  Let’s also drop an ATM Rock and add a Switch.

-        1 ATM ROCK

+ 1 Switch

+ 1 Copycat

+ 1 Rare Candy

+ 1 TV Reporter

The energy count looks fine.  Boost is decent, but I really miss Double-Colorless EnergyL

Now, the final list:

Pokémon:  23

[4] Jigglypuff

[4] Wigglytuff

[3] Gastly

[2] Haunter

[3] Gengar

[2] Pidgey

[1] Pidgeotto

[2] Pidgeot

[2] Dunsparce

Trainers: 20

[4] Steven’s Advice

[4] Rare Candy

[3] Copycat

[3] TV Reporter

[2] Ancient Technical Machine [Rock]

[2] Switch

[2] Celio’s Network

Energy: 18

[14] Psychic Energy

[3] Boost Energy

Strategy:  If possible, start with Dunsparce.  Use Strike and Run until your bench is full, then run.  Get out Pidgeot as quickly as possible, then get out your Wigglytuff.  If Wiggly’s KO’d and you’re low on prizes, send out Gengar.

Well, that covers it.  I hope this deck serves you well.  Enjoy.
