T~W~I~S~T~E~D C~H~A~L~L~E~N~G~E #1 NO ENERGY DECK That's right, folks. I want everybody who feels up to the task to submit a deck that contains absolutely no Energy cards. Use whatever means you feel are needed in order to get the job done. It doesn't have to be tourney playable, so I'd like to see some original ideas. ----- pokemon 24   4 weedle sr 4 kakuna sr 4 beedril sr 4 voltorb base 4 electrode base 4 eleckid ng   trainers 36   4 hyper devolution spray 2 town voulenteers 2 undersea ruins 4 pokemon nurse 4 potion 4 goldberry 4 elm 4 copycat 2 pokemon fan club 4 pokemon trader 2 prof elms research   general stratedgy is to use eleckid's playful punch when you have nothing else to attack with.  and to evolve and devolve beedril for his paralize/poison attack. electrode is there to buzzap, turning into 2 energies, which is just enough to power up beedrils needle rush attack. beedril and eleckid are both free retreaters which let you get rid of special condidtions without need of energy, electrode can just buzzap out of the active spot if needed. Catt ----- Awesome job! I like the use of Buzzap to get around the lack of Energy...very original. ^_^ ----- Hi BondiBorg!!!!! I thought I would give it a try to do your NO ENERGY DECK. I have created a weird but somewhat good deck. Here it is: POKÉPOWER MADNESS!!!!! Poke'mon: 31 4 Elekid (neo genesis) 4 Mr. Mime (jungle) 4 Chansey (base set) 3 Kangaskan (jungle) 3 Snorlax (jungle) 3 Gastly (fossil) 3 Haunter (fossil) 1 Gengar (fossil) 4 Holo Suicune(neo revelation) 2 Aeorodactyl (fossil) Trainers: (28) 4 Defender 3 Gold Berry 4 Focus Band 4 Scoop Up 2 Super Scoop Up 4 Bill 2 Weakness Guard 3 Mysterious Fossil 2 Energy Removal MAIN STRATEGY: The main strategy is to Pile up the damage on Chansey, Kangaskan, and Snorlax and then Scoop them up, thus annoying and stalling your oponent. Weakness Guard is in there in case the colorless run into some fighting. Another stalling pokemon is Mr.Mime, which is VERY ANNOYING, as well as Elekid's damaging poke'power. Aerodactyl is there for evolution decks. Haunter is for stalling and Gengar is for moving the damage. Most of the Trainers speak for themselves. Suicune is for recieving no effects of attacks. Hope you pick this deck!! The Cardmaster p.s. i like your reviews and story lines. They're Great!!!!!! ----- Thanks, Cardmaster. The deck looks a little unfocused, but it's a great effort, and I like the idea of using Gengar to move Elekid's damage around. Good job. ;) ----- I'm assuming that this would be for Unlimited.  Here's a little something that just *might* cut it: Pokemon (12): 4 Elekid 4 Mr. Mime 2 Lillypad Mew Trainers (48): 4 Elm 4 Imposter Oak 4 Copycat 4 Focus Band 4 Potion 4 Moomoo 4 Oran Berry 4 Berry 4 Oracle 4 Bill 4 Lucky Stadium 4 ER 2 Switch Basically, this thing is Stall all the way, with the only (minor) offense coming from Elekid.  You want to have Elekid active first turn, with at least another Elekid on the bench, if not a Mime.  Elekid gets outfitted with Focus, Mime gets (Oran) Berry.  Lilly Mew is only there in case I go up against a straight Evo deck and they don't have any Basics out.  The extreme amount of healers in here is because these guys don't have much HP, so I need to heal a lot. Oracle/Bill, Copy, and Elm for drawing/searching.  The Luckys are in there to try and make them deck faster, by drawing a pretend 0.5 cards per turn extra, plus their Oaks, Elms, and Copys, as are the IPOs, with an extra 7 cards out of their deck. Of course, this thing would never actually win, or even be constructed, for a serious tournament. If you can make this thing better, you ARE a GOD. GL, HF. ----- Hmm...very nice. I like the fact that you've thought out how to trick the opponent into drawing extra cards (and therefore decking faster). I'd recommend ditching some of the weaker healing for Pokémon Center, Erika to trick them into drawing even more, and some Town Volunteers just to be positive that you don't deck first. ----- Well, Here's an Idea. (This is a fix. I sent another copy last night, but it wasn't like I planned it, So this is a fixed copy. If you use mine, please use this one. Thanks.) Pokemon: 18 Chansey x4 (Base Set) Kangaskhan x3 Abra x4 (Rocket) Alakazam x4 (Base Set) Sycther x3 (Jungle) Trainers: 42 Scoop Up x4 Bill x4 Oracle x4 Pokemon Center x4 Gold Berry x3 Computer Search x4 Item Finder x4 Switch x3 Energy Removal x3 Pokemon Breeder x4 Professor Oak x1 Professor Elm x1 Focus Band x3 Basically, try to deck your opponent. Scooping a Chansey that has damage when something like another Chansey is on the Bench, is fun. You use Gold Berry to prevent dieing more, then Focus Band for more fun. Item Finder gets those vital trainers back. Scyther is used for a quick retreat. Switching around with Switch, and then using Center, might be the best part of annoyance with this deck. This deck could work. Ya never know... BronzeRiderLink ----- Hey BRL, I like the deck. You're the first person yet to include Pokémon Center; it's good to see that somebody caught the fact that there's no Energy in the deck to remove anyway. ;) Finally, here's my No Energy deck. I've been working on it for almost a month now, and it's working out really well. Take a look. {Dragula} Pokémon 19 4 Zubat {Neo3} 4 Dark Golbat {Rocket} 4 Dark Crobat {Neo4} 4 Elekid {Neo1} 3 Chansey {Base} Trainers 41 4 Hyper Devolution Spray 4 Boss' Way 4 Computer Search 4 Item Finder 3 Professor Oak 3 Pokémon Center 3 Rocket's Sneak Attack 3 Elm's Training Method 2 Undersea Ruins 2 Energy Removal 2 Lure Ball 2 Double Gust 2 Town Volunteers 2 Focus Band 1 Pokémon Trader Undersea Ruins is great in this deck; it allows you to discard a Crobat once every two turns (on average), which you can then either get back into your hand (Lure Ball) or deck (Town Volunteers) pretty quickly. Great job, everybody. See you for TC #2!
