Standing across the street, Satoshi and his Blastoise gaze at the
building that for three years held their Shop. The surroundings have
drastically changed, however. The outside of the store has been
transformed into something that can only be described as a futuristic
military bombshelter, combining brutally precise design with graceful
curves. Still incredulous at the alterations, 'Tashi crosses the street
and enters through the reinforced titanium door, perfectly balanced so
that it swings outwards effortlessly.

Inside, the shelves that formerly lined the walls and stood out on the
floor have been removed, leaving an expanse of space larger than it
seemed physically possible, given the exterior. The tile that had
previously covered the floor was gone, leaving bare concrete. On the
dull grey surface there now appear a good number of perfectly straight
lines, which 'Tashi soon realised represented the boundaries that would
soon form smaller rooms.

In fact, the only thing at all remaining from the original Shop is the
counter, yet to be dusted off, and the chair behind it, which supported
BondiBorg at the moment. The new owner rose upon seeing 'Tashi enter
the Shop, reaching across the counter to perform an elaborate secret
handshake. As ritual demanded, the handshake ended with the each of
them chasing down an innocent bystander and giving them a pinkbelly.

The closest bystanders were a group of five carpenters charged with the
task of renovating the Shop, and the two of them that had the
misfortune of standing nearest were becoming rather disgruntled. As it
happens, there were originally six carpenters, though no one seems to
know for certain where the sixth one wandered off to. Furniture had
been moved in as soon as the shelves were cleared, and it seems Bondi's
Umbreon had already begun hiding small objects behind it.

BondiBorg: "Back to pick up the chewy-toy? I came across it behind a
shelf this morning."

Satoshi: "That's a relief, Blastoise has been chewing on anything else
he can find since losing that thing."

At that moment, a yelp erupts from Blastoise, who clasps his tail and
glares around the room at the carpenters. Satoshi looks somewhat
puzzled, glancing at Bondi for an answer to his Pokémon's strange
behavior. In doing so, he notices a pawprint slowly appear on the dust
on the counter, without any apparent source. 'Tashi moves to draw his
katana, but before he even reaches the hilt, Bondi's hand has flashed
out and grasped something black and fuzzy out of thin air.

BondiBorg: "Umbreon, haven't I told you that it's not polite to use
Feint Attack outside of battle?"

The Umbreon struggles in Bondi's grasp and grumbles before admitting
defeat and laying still. Bondi places him back down on the counter,
then turns back to the Shop's former owner.

Satoshi: "Remarkable, I was looking right at him and never saw a thing.
How did you catch him so easily?"

BondiBorg: "I've had the annoying little critter for years now...it's
second nature, after him playing pranks for so long."

Letting Satoshi head towards the storage room to see where the
chewy-toy had gone, Bondi sits down to take a look in the drawers of
the counter. After checking a few empty ones, Bondi comes across a
sheet of paper, apparently a deck that had been faxed in.

BondiBorg: "Satoshi must not have gotten around to it before he closed
the shop...I'll give it a fix while I'm waiting for him to get back."

I have not been playing for a while, but I found my old decklist, and I
wanted to know if it would still work. The last environment I played
under was Neo Discovery, and in that time the only decks I really had
trouble with were Steelix and fire decks. The strategy is at the
bottom (but from the 4 Chaos Gym and 4 Lass it is pretty evident).

Pokemon 17
4 Sabrina´s Venonat
4 Sabrina´s Venomoth
3 Scyther
3 Murkrow
3 Sneasel

Trainers 20
4 Computer Searches
4 Professor Oak
4 Professor Elm
4 Chaos Stadium
4 Lass

Energy 23
10 Psychic Energies
4 Darkness Energies
3 Rainbow Energies
3 Full Heal Energies
3 Double Colorless Energies

Basically the deck did very well most of the time. First turn, play
down Sabrina's Venonat and Chaos Gym/Lass. Then get out the Venomoth
and confuse. Attack with Scyther and Sneasel, and keep them confused.
(I am still mad about the junky English name they gave Sneasel, give
me Nyurra any day) Use Murkrow against Cleffa, Mean Look is so useful.
Any help would be appreciated,

Nathan

Hmm...let's turn this beast into more of an offensive monster, shall we?

Your Pokémon are on the right track, though I think Slowking is more
effective than Chaos Gym...so, in light of that, let's slim down the
Pokémon to fit in a 4/4 on Slowking.

Pokemon 19
4 Slowpoke
4 Slowking
3 Sabrina´s Venonat
3 Sabrina´s Venomoth
2 Sneasel
2 Cleffa
1 Murkrow

Much better. On to the Trainers...they're solid, but don't really vary
enough. You've got enough numbers of good cards to accomplish the task,
but victory would be easier with a wider variety.

Trainers 31
4 Computer Searches
4 Item Finder
3 Professor Oak
3 Lass
3 Rocket Sneak Attack
3 Super Energy Removal
2 Energy Removal
2 Focus Band
2 Energy Charge
2 Gust of Wind
1 Sprout Tower
1 Switch
1 Town Volunteers (or Nightly Garbage Run, until you get TV)

Let's finish the streamlining by making room in the Energy.

Energy 10
4 Darkness
3 Recycle
3 Double Colorless

Good Luck!

Returning from the back room, still without the chewy-toy, 'Tashi
looked rather exasperated.

"Bondi, where did you say you put it?"

BondiBorg: "It should have been somewhere back there, unless Umbreon
ran off with it. Let's check his little stash."

Working together, Bondi and Satoshi each grab one end of the couch,
pulling it out to recover the pilfered chewy-toy. Much to the surprise
of both of them, there lay the sixth carpenter, bound at the wrists and
ankles by duct tape and gagged with some bright purple object.

BondiBorg: "I see Umbreon's been taking hostages again...oh well, at
least we found what we came here for."

After plucking the purple chewy-toy from the carpenter's mouth, Bondi
tosses it to Blastoise, who mumbles something about it needed to be
sanitized after being in a human's mouth. After returning the couch to
its original position, Satoshi and Blastoise start to leave, and Bondi
returns to the counter, debating a nap. Stopping as if by an
afterthought, Satoshi turns back to Bondi.

Satoshi: "Shouldn't you let the carpenter go?"

BondiBorg: "Eh, for what I'm paying him, he'll stay back there and like
it."
