Welcome back to the shop. Every so often, I get the urge to make a deck with just base cards for some reason. =/ Maybe it's a kind of a way to get "back to basics(no pun intended)." That said, this deck stuck out at me: >>>> Hey Satoshi,...........man this deck needs A LOT OF WORK AND I MEAN A LOT,LOL. POKEMON-All from basic set. 4-Hitmonchan 4-Machop 3-Machoke 2-Machamp 2-Hitmonlee TRAINERS 4-SER 4-ER 3-Comp Search 3-Oak 4-Bill 2-Potions ENERGY 25-Fighting Energy Strategy.........Use Hitmonchan to inflict damage/stall while I build up Machamp using Oak/bill/Comp Search.I also like destroying my opponents energys with the removal family hehe. >>>> Well, it came to me with just Base, and it shall leave with just Base. ^___^ Hmm...*pause*...ok, so it didn't come to me will all base. But the owner said it did, so it still leaves with just base. =P That said, nix the Hitmonlee and pop in two Farfetch'd. These guys, in base-only, are pure oWnage. Gotta love the duck. ;) Next, ditch a Hitmonchan in favor of another Machamp, making the line a fairly well-rounded 4-3-3 and, as a result, much more balanced. Let's also take out three Fighting Energy to add in another Farfetch'd and two Ponyta to give us a decent number of basics. That'll do it for the Pokémon: Pokémon (18) 4 Machop 3 Machoke 3 Machamp 3 Hitmonchan 3 Farfetch'd 2 Ponyta Next, we work on the trainers. We have 22 Fighting Energy and we really only need 15 or 16-and even that is on the high side. So, let's ditch six Fighting Energy for another Professor Oak, four Itemfinder, and a fourth Computer Search, evening out the Trainers: Trainers (26) 4 Computer Search 4 Itemfinder 4 Professor Oak 4 Bill 4 Energy Removal 4 Super Energy Removal 2 Potion Ok, now we have 16 Fighting Energy. The last thing we'll do to this deck is make three of those Energy into DCE for Farfetch'd and Ponyta. That's it for the Energy: Energy (16) 13 Fighting Energy 3 Double Colorless Energy Hey, we're done! How about that. ;x Hmm...I must say, fixing Base set only decks is refreshing. I wouldn't mind doing more of these if you guys out there in online land wanna send 'em in. ;) Good luck and happy gaming, folks!
