Original Deck
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I just made an Erika deck for the east coast sts. Please help make any changes to it that would make it better.
Pokemon 18
3 E. Oddish (gym challenge)
3 E. Gloom (70HP)
3 E. Vileplume
3 E. Dratini
3 E. Dragonair
3 Scythers
Trainers 15
3 Professor Oak
3 Erika Maids
3 Computer Search
3 Celadon City Gym
3 Gust of Wind
Energy 27
24 Grass
3 DCE
I've played this deck some and its done ok winning about half the games I played, although its hard to test it when no one else wants to play with the 15t/3c format :( Thanks for fixing my deck (or at least reading down to here)
Deck Fix
Pokemon
   Pokemon actually look pretty good. Only 9 basics without a ton of card drawing isn't optimal for this format, and you have a weakness to fighting in all but the dragonair line. I would suggest adding Rocket's Scyther. It's a basic, so you don't have to worry about evolving. It's powerful, so it won't waste space in your deck. It has a stalling attack, so it will help you get your evolutions out as quick as possible. Add 3 of these and your pokemon are set!
Energy
   Energy is pretty good, need the double colorless, need the grass for the energy intensive evolutions. Drop 1 grass for another DCE, and take another 3 grass out for the 3 rocket's scythers added in the pokemon section.
Trainers
   In this format, trainers are different than in other formats. While some trainers may help, you need to optimise the trainers that you are using. Erika's Maids does this great, but Celadon City Gym just isn't as powerful as other cards you could have in it's place. If you take out a computer search and add in 2 Misty's Wraths, you'll be all set. Gaining card advantage will definately help in a format with less decking involved. Now, there are 2 slots left. Lass will fit in perfectly - some hand disruption will take away some key trainers your opponent is saving for later use, without them being able to get massive card drawing and catch back up right away due to the different format. That should be it for the trainers...
