Subject: Rain Rain Go Away Hello all! Let's get to the deck. This week I decided to fix a Raindance that came my way...surprise, surprise, hmm? ;) >>>> Hi satoshi, My deck is really crap. Could you plz modify it so it would be a good deck? My deck includes: Pokemon 2 Blastoise 1 Dark Blastoise 4 Squirtles 3 Seels 2 Dewgongs 2 Lapras 1 Articuno 2 Dratini 1 Dark Dragonair Trainers 3 breeders 2 searches 2 traders 2 super potions 2 potions 1 rockets hideout Energies 28 water energies 2 darkness energies >>>> Wow, let's get to work. A few things jumped out at me when I saw this deck, so we're going to fix it out of order today. The first thing I see is the insane amount of energy this deck uses. To be honest, I see this a lot with the Raindance decks that are sent to me. It's been my experience that you seldom need over 16/17 Water Energy to have a playable Raindance...20+ is just a waste, imho. That said, drop 11 Water Energy for space later. We'll move on from the Energy to the Pokémon now. Okay, you've got four Squirtle; that's good, but make sure they're all rocket Squirtle. Next, ditch the evolution line of Seel and Dewgong. These guys rocked during Base/Jungle, but now they're little more than space hogs. They're just not fast enough. I'm almost tempted to remove the dragon line too, but seeing as how this deck runs Dark Energy already, we'll keep it. Use a space from Seel/Dewgong to add a second Dark Dragonair. Get rid of that lone Articuno and use its space along with two more from Seel/Dewgong to add in three ng Wooper. Finally, use the final Seel/Dewgong space for a third Blastoise. Finally, drop the Lapras because we don't need 'em. ;) Add in two ng Cleffa, then use the final Seel spot for a third. Our Pokemon now look like this: Pokémon (18) 4 Squirtle 3 Blastoise 3 Cleffa 1 Dark Blastoise 3 Wooper 2 Dratini 2 Dragonair Okay, next we'll work on the trainers. We've got 11 spaces left since we used one in the Pokémon area. Let's start by getting some more elbow room, shall we? ;) Ditch the Traders and Super Potions for three Professor Oak and one Professor Elm, and take out the Potions for two more Computer Search. Now, use our 11 spaces to add in 4 Itemfinder and another Professor Elm. Now, up the Rocket's Hideout to two and add in two Nightly Garbage Run, followed by two SER and a Gust of Wind, giving us this: Trainers (23) 4 Computer Search 4 Itemfinder 3 Professor Oak 3 Pokémon Breeder 2 Professor Elm 2 Nightly Garbage Run 2 Super Energy Removal 2 Rocket's Hideout 1 Gust of Wind Well, Here's the energy that we worked with earlier: Energy (19) 17 Water Energy 2 Dark Energy For the sake of speed, let's ditch two Water for two DCE: Energy (19) 15 Water Energy 2 Double Colorless Energy 2 Darkness Energy And that's all! I think it turned out pretty good...not too boring; just enough originality to keep from super boredom. Enjoy!
