This deck came to me from a very dear friend who was seriously injured in a
car accident recently. She has no idea that I am going to fix it for her, but
I feel like she could really use a pick me up right now, and I hope this will
do that.

TRAINERS (23)

4 Professor Oak
4 Gold Berry
3 Bill
3 Computer Search
3 Nightly Garbage Run
2 Item Finder

ENERGY (19)

8 Fire Energy
7 Fighting Energy
4 Double Colorless Energy

I looked this deck over for a long, long time trying to figure out how to
keep both Blaine's Ninetails and Rocket's Hitmonchan in the deck while making
it playable. I finally decided that it just couldnt be done. Blaine's
Ninetails really needs a lot of fire energy because if you go on a tail
fliping streak, your energy is gone. I just don't think that it really fits
well in a deck with 2 energy colors. Because I didn't know which was more
important to keep,  and because I really wanted to do something to bring a
smile to her in her time of need, I decided to do TWO fixes of this deck, one
with the Hitmonchan and one with the Ninetails.

The first fix made fewer changes, so lets do that one first.

POKEMON

First, lets take out the the Fossil Mamar. This used to be a really good
pokemon because the Screen attack slowed down your opponent and the Smog
attack could be a real killer with the poison. It also was really useful for
destroying Scythers, which were in almost every deck. But with Scyther kind
of dissapearing from a lot of decks, and with the many, many free retreating
pokemon (babys, Gligar, Sneasel among others) out there now, Screen and Smog
have really lost a lot of their effectiveness.

Next, lets replace the Ninetails line with a less fire specific and less fire
hungry line, namely Blaine's Rapidash. Since I have allready discussed why
this is a good pokemon (way back in my second fix, check it out), I won't go
into that here.

Informationally, Rocket's Hitmonchan is mainly usefull as a stall. The 60Hp
and only 1 retreat is acceptable. The second attack can be a crusher, but it
is very energy intensive in the current environment. Still, any pokemon that
can take a sneasel with it can't be all bad.

Lets use 2 of those empty slots to pump up the Ditto count to 3. (You really
have to have 3 Ditto, 3 Clefable, or 3 Sneasel in almost every deck anymore).

TRAINERS

There really isn't too much to do here. Lets take out the Bill (its just too
slow anymore, and not as needed with Cleffa out there), drop our Gold Berry
count by 1, and pry lose 2 slots from our energy to go with the one slot that
we pried free from our pokemon total, which opens up 7 slots to add trainers.
I think the best fit here is 3 Super Energy Removal, 3 Gust of Wind, and an
extra Item Finder.

ENERGY

We can use a few Rainbow Energy here to decrease the energy count a bit. Lets
cut 2 Fire and 3 Fighting, and replace them with 3 Rainbow.

FIX NUMBER ONE

POKEMON (17)

4 Blaine's Ponyta (Level 13)
3 Blaine's Rapidash
3 Rocket's Hitmonchan
3 Ditto
2 Gligar
2 Cleffa

TRAINERS (26)

4 Professor Oak
3 Gold Berry
3 Computer Search
3 Item Finder
3 Nightly Garbage Run
2 Cinibar Island Gym
3 Gust of Wind
3 Super Energy Removal
2 Scoop Up

ENERGY (17)

6 Fire Energy
4 Fighting Energy
3 Rainbow Energy
4 Double Colorless Energy

The second fix changed things a little bit more.

This time, I went with the Blaine's Ninetails in a sort of Blaine's deck.
First thing  I   did was to chuck the the Fossil Magmar again. The second
thing I did was to chuck the entire fighting theme so there would be no need
to have fighting energy in the deck. And the third thing I did was to pump
the ditto count up to 3 again.

This leaves 5 open slots. Into those, I decided to throw 3 Blaine's Growlite
and 2 Blaine's Arcanine. The 90HP of the Arcanine is really good, and the 40
damage for 2 Fire and a Double Colorless is not too shabby either. The Second
Attack probably wouldn't see much use, but there is something to be said for
being able to take out a Chansey in one hit. Another possibility here would
be the Ponyta and Rapidash from above, but I was trying to do something a
little bit diffrent here.

TRAINERS

There were a few more changes this time. Since this is basically a Blaine's
Deck now, I decided that Blaine was needed in this deck. I also figured that
with the 40 and 50 attacks, that Plus Power would be a good addition because
there are a lot of 50 and 60HP pokemon seeing heavy use now. Lets drop the 3
Bill again, and the 1 Gold Berry like before. This time, we also want to drop
the 2 Scoop Up, which wont be as useful with 2 evolutions. We will borrow one
slot from the energy, to go with the one from the pokemon. This opens up a
total of 8 slots. This time, we will fill them with 3 Blaine, 1 Item Finder,
and 4 Plus Power.

ENERGY

Nothing special to say here.
