CRASH!!! Dust fills the room. "Sorry, but your door was locked, and you had the Open sign out....
Anyway, this is my deck called Toxic Muk. I use Muk to disable Pokemon Powers. Than get Nidoking out and Poison the opponet with Toxic. I have Scyther in because he is so revered as a good basic, and I needed someone to protect me in early game.
This is Toxic Muk:
I don't know if I should have the Switchs out or not, can you help me with that?

You've just given me the greatest IDEA!

The Muk Miasma -- by The Pokemon Lady

One day, The Lady was working in her Laborotory at Pojo.com when all of a sudden there was a terrible crashing sound and dust began to fill the air. At the crashing sound, and at the sight of someone barrelling through her laborotory door, the Pokemon Lady immediately pushes a button and in rushes PernSpike and Crash Landon... They rush past the Pokemon Lady and grab you by the arms and demand to know just what is going on... She raises an eyebrow as the dust clears and she sees exactly what it was that so rudely busted down her door.

" I hope you plan to pay for that... " you hear PernSpike growl in your ear.

" Yea, man... you don't WANT to know what she did to the last guy who came barreling in here" Crash grumbles... " We had to look for a week to find all the parts... "

" I was just looking for a deck fix!" you shout fearfully... looking about at the two burly men holding your arms...

The Pokemon Lady walks over to you, and looks carefully into your eyes. Her green eyes sparkle as she looks at you. "You broke my door," she says in a smooth, calm voice... " Who ARE you?" she asks curiously.

" I'm ajdesousa@aol.com... and I'm ... sorry... you had the open sign out... I'ts my Muk.. He's to powerful for me to control! He wanted to come in out of the rain and... well...Do you want me to pay for that door or will Insurance cover it?" you say quickly as you notice Pernspike giving you an incredulous look.

"Pat him down, boys," The Pokemon Lady says. Quickly Spike and Crash begin patting you down and they pull a rather beaten up Pokemon TCG deck from your pocket. As she turns back to her workbench, her white Lab Coat flairs out and you notice she has on a black turtleneck and blue jeans... nice...

She looks you over, and says to Crash and Spike, "Thanks guys... but I think I've just got an overzealous trainer here. Could one of you fix the door while I talk to this guy?" Crash nods and heads over to the door, while Spike brings your Pokemon deck to the Lady. The Lady whispers something to Spike, and he goes and gets your Muk, which is trying to eat one of The Lady's experiments.

She opens up your Pokemon Deck and takes a look at it...

" This shows Promice, " she says, eying you carefully. " I see you've got the idea of having your Pokemon do some damage by poisioning your opponent's active Pokemon... and I approve at your 3-2 Muk and 3-2-2 Nidoking ratios. Also, Scyther makes an excellent addition to any deck."

"Yes," you say, a little shakily... you don't know what The Lady is going to do to you for breaking her door... " I had thought that Scyther would be able to protect me in the early stages as I am powering up my other Pokemon..."

"That he will... that he will..." mutters The Lady as she examines your trainers... " Let's see.. Bills, Oaks, Switch, Gust... ok.. you've got the basics... Hmm, Some energy retrieval and removal thrown in there for deck manipulation and disruption... good... good..."

She stops for a minute and looks at you. She holds up a Computer Search and says, "Why?"

"Um... because... well... so I can find... um..." You don't really have a good answer for her.

The Lady frowns at this. She says pointedly, " CPU Search requires a discard of 3 cards total for use; the CPU Search itsself, and 2 others, which would probably benefit you more if they were NOT in your discard pile. I suggest you take out the 2 CPU Searches, and put in Pokemon Traders instead. Traders allow you to trade 1 for 1 with no discard and no loss. You can search that deck for the Nidoking you need, or the Nidorino you want, but not have to discard your Muk or Scyther to do it."

You cock your head to think about it for a minute and you realize she's right. She looks up at you and asks you why you're not writing these suggestions down... You blush furiously as you dig around in your pockets for a piece of paper... you blush even more when you realize all you have is an old receipt from the Comic Shoppe where you buy your booster packs. She sighs and gets up from the leather chair she had been sitting in and goes to her workbench. She digs around for a minute and comes back with a piece of paper.

" Just write on the back of that," she says. You notice it's an old sheet with some writing on it... Ditazard= 1 Charizard scale, 2 eye of Mander, 1 ounce ooze of Ditto.... bring to boil... cool... very carefully submerge a newly laid Ditto egg... 1 hour... remove... incubate egg 12 days.. at ...

" What is this?" you ask, fearfully...

"Oh, just an experiment I concocted a while back. I was trying to cross a Charizard and a Ditto... Anyway... about this deck... " She notices you're still standing... " Oh. sit... " she says, kinda embarrassed...offering you a seat.

"Thanks," you say meekly. You sit down and she hands you a pencil that she had stuck in her hair. You notice she has lots of pencils stuck in her hair... You kinda shake your head a little, as you begin preparing to write down what she says...

" Anyway, " she says... " Your Pokemon are fine... and your trainers are mostly ok. Trade those CPU Searches for Pokemon Traders to start out."

"Ok, " you say as you scratch furiously on the backside of the paper. " What about the Switches? Should I leave them in there?"

The Pokemon Lady looks at you strangely. "Well," she says slowly, "What happens if your Pokemon becomes confused? What happens if your Pokemon is Poisoned and doesn't have enough energy to retreat? Don't you think switches would come in handy then? Also, what else do you have in mind to put in there? "

"Yea, I get your point" you say.

"You've got a pretty good deck here," she says happily. I like it. She gets up and goes over to her desk, which is covered with papers and scribbles on a notepad for a second. You wonder what it is that she's doing... maybe she's writing down some secret formulae for a new Pokemon that she's going to create! You become very excited at the thought of being present when such a thing is done...

She finishes scratching on the paper and tears it from the pad. The Lady comes over to you and hands you a slip of paper. It reads:

 BILL

1 Laborotory Door------- $200.00

1 Personalized Deck Fix --$100.00

1 Ditazard Recipie --------$ 27.50

total----------------------$327.50

" Will that be Cash, Check, or..."

She pauses for a moment, "Trade"

"Trade?" You question?

The Lady grins.... " I could always use another Muk... " she says, smiling....

You look over and see Spike and Crash loading your Muk into a Pokeball...

You shrug... "You can keep the Muk," you say as you pack your stuff to leave. "Sorry about your door..."

"No problem, " says The Lady. "That's why I have Crash. He can fix anything".

" I can always get another Muk...." you think, as you walk home " but... a Ditazard recipie... now, that's another story... " Your heart races at the thought of your good fortune... and you wonder what awaits you on the next leg, of your Pokemon Journey.

Heh.. Well, i hope you enjoyed my first "Story Fix." If you liked it, I'll write more. Just drop me a line at TheLady@pojo.com
