Original Deck
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey Jedi,
I'm wondering if you could help me to fix up my deck; Mind Games. This is one of my better decks, when I play tested it, it only lost to my Turbo Wiggly deck. But, I need some tuning on it, it just isn't there yet, you know what I mean.
Here it is:
Pokemon (20, 10 Basic)
4 Drowzee (R)
3 Dark Hypno
2 Mewtwo (P)
4 Gastly (F)
4 Haunter (B)
3 Gengar
Energy(23)
23 Psychic
Trainers (17)
2 Bill
3 Oak
4 Energy Removal
1 Rocket Minefeild Gym
1 Rocket Sneak Attack
1 Digger
1 Challenge!
4 Pokemon Trader
Strategy: Basically, you give the opponent a hard time with Gengars, with 3 in the deck, I can attack in droves, and it starts to hurt. The Mewtwos are promo 12, Energy Control and Telekenesis, I think they fit the theme a lot better. And for bigger damage, I combined Rocket Drowzee and Basic Haunter for a painful 50 damage. I also found a coin that gets tails almost every time, so I use that for Dark Hypno. Then you just make them make hard choices that make you get the upper hand with challenging trainers.
Please see if you can make this better, Thank you very much.
Toby
Deck Fix
Pokemon
   Pokemon choice here is pretty nice...but I'd add another dark hypno and gengar to keep the consistancy and help get the evos out ASAP. Also, those promo mewtwo's really aren't going to do well...being energy intensive like that, they'll just waste your energy on a basic instead of an evo, and it's not that many HP anyway. So change those to the MP Mewtwo's used commonly, they'll deal out the damage quickly and get lost energy back, allowing room for more trainers.
Energy
   Whoah...definately a LOT of energy. Cut that down to 18 psychic.
Trainers
   There's not a lot of room here for trainers. We'll start by cutting out the unimportant stuff, then add in what we can... Drop the bills. They're great, but not essential. Drop the minefield gym and digger. Also drop challenge. Drop the sneak too - one won't help you that much. Now, to the good part... add in one oak, and the pokemon trader should work great ^_^. Add in 3 computer search. This will help you get the oaks and evolutions quicker, and should speed up a very slow deck. Also add 3 lass. Since you don't have many real offensive trainers, lass will work defensively to take away their advantagous trainers long enough for you to mount an attack. You shouldn't rely on trainers that need to stick in your hand (ex. you have a computer search, you can use it before you lass, it's not essential that you hold trainers in your hand), so lass works great. Also throw in 2 Nightly Garbage Runs to help get your energy back ^_^. All set :)
