G'day all, Well, I figure now's as good a time as any to fix up a deck. Some folks have come to do some much needed repair work on the Shop, so Blastoise and I have holed up in my place for now. Get comfortable, grab a snack, and enjoy the show; we've got some deck fixin' to do! >>>> Satoshi- First, I've looked at some decks you've fixed and they're GREAT. So I was hoping you could fix my deck. I don't care about having a strategy, because if I have only one type of Pokemon, the opponent could have my pokemon's weakness. I only have the Legendary Collection, though. Also, I basically don't have any idea how to make a good deck. Here it is: 29 pokemon 2 Sandshrew 1 Sandslash 2 Mankey 1 Primape 2 Machop 1 Machoke 1 Kabuto 1 Hitmonlee 2 Geodude 1 Graveler 2 Charmander 1 Charmeleon 1 Moltres 2 Seel 1 Dewgong 1 Nidoran male 1 Nidorino 1 Exeggcute 2 Nidoran female 2 Nidorina 1 Nidoqueen 12 trainers 1 Poke Ball 1 Sleep 2 Mysterious Fossil 1 Professor Oak 1 Trash Exchange 1 Healing Field 1 Pokemon Trader 1 Potion 1 Bill 1 Fossil Egg 1 Old Rod 20 Energy 5 Water 5 Fighting 5 Fire 5 Plant >>>> Erm...well, we're one card over, so let's start there. It seems like an honest mistake, so no biggie; knock out the Nidoqueen. :) Now, let's get to fixin this deck! >From what you've said in your writeup, I can only assume that you're a beginner to the game. First off, welcome to the Pokémon TCG and I hope ya have fun with it! :) Now, your deck...it isn't all that hot right now, but we'll fix that here in a sec. Let's start with the Pokémon section.... 28 pokemon 2 Sandshrew 1 Sandslash 2 Mankey 1 Primape 2 Machop 1 Machoke 1 Kabuto 1 Hitmonlee 2 Geodude 1 Graveler 2 Charmander 1 Charmeleon 1 Moltres 2 Seel 1 Dewgong 1 Nidoran male 1 Nidorino 1 Exeggcute 2 Nidoran female 2 Nidorina Alrighty...you said you didn't care about a strategy. This is a BAD thing. Every deck needs a strategy, and without a good one your opponent will be you even if YOU have the type advantage. So let's see....wow. You really went all out on types, didn't ya! I count 5 types in this deck! That won't do at all. Well, I see Dewgong...which is, out of the rest of your selection, the best family. So let's stick with it. Remove the Sandshrew and Sandslash to add in 2 more Seel and another Dewgong. Next, remove that Moltres for a third Dewgong. Next, let's decide what our second family should be...hmm. For some reason, I'm thinking Nidorino, so let's kill the Geodude and graveler for two more Nidoran M and a Nidorino. Next, kill the Exeggcute for a third Nidorino. Now we need some supporters. Let's use Scyther and Cleffa for our support, and also add one Neo Genesis Wooper because he's just that cool. ;) Remove the Mankey, Primeape, Machop, Machoke, and Kabuto for three Scyther, three Cleffa and a Wooper. Finally, remove the Charmander, Charmeleon, Hitmonless, Nidoran F and Nidorina to use for later, giving us 8 leftover spaces. 20 pokemon 4 Seel 3 Dewgong 3 Nidoran male 3 Nidorino 3 Scyther 3 Cleffa 1 Wooper Next, the Trainers.... 12 trainers 1 Poke Ball 1 Sleep 2 Mysterious Fossil 1 Professor Oak 1 Trash Exchange 1 Healing Field 1 Pokemon Trader 1 Potion 1 Bill 1 Fossil Egg 1 Old Rod Oy vey...alright, you've got an Oak and a Healing Fields. That's good, but everyting else is not. =( Remove the Old Rod, Fossil Egg, Bill, and Potion for four Computer Search; the ultimate card in terms of card searching. Next, kill the Pokemon Trader, Trash Exchange and the 2 Mysterious Fossil for four Itemfinder, Computer Search's little brother. ;) Finally, use the Poke Ball and Sleep for two Professor Elm. Remember those 8 spaces from before? They come into effect here. Add in 3 more Professor Oak, 3 Super Energy Removal, and 2 Gust of Wind. 20 trainers 4 Professor Oak 4 Computer Search 4 Itemfinder 3 Super Energy Removal 2 Professor Elm 2 Gust of Wind 1 Healing Field Finally, we move onto the Energy: 20 Energy 5 Water 5 Fighting 5 Fire 5 Plant Not much to do here. Make the 5 Fighting Energy into Water, and the 5 Fire Energy into 2 more Plant and three DCE to help power up Nidorino and Dewgong. Here's what we're left with: 20 energy 10 Water Energy 7 Grass Energy 3 Double Colorless Energy Hope this deck is to your liking...good luck and happy gaming!
