#5
Rainbow Energy (Legend Maker) & Banette ex (Legend
Maker)
For once, the 1 damage
counter Rainbow Energy forces you to play on your
Pokemon is a good thing. Rainbow Energy allows you
to Shady Move a damage counter on to one of your
opponent's Pokemon, even when you had no damage on
you to begin. This is especially effective early
game, allowing Banette ex to do a quick 50 damage,
which one hit KOs many basics, including Holon's
Castform. |

#4 Manectric ex (Deoxys) & Mew ex
(Legend Maker)
Disconnect is an extremely
strong attack, but once Manectric is taken down,
your opponent will finally get to play all the
trainers he or she was holding. By using Mew ex, you
can ensure more Disconnects, so your opponent will
have to wait until its too late to be able to play
his or her trainers. |

#3
Raichu d (Holon Phantoms) & Scramble Energy (Deoxys/POP4)
What makes Scramble Energy
so effective with Raichu is not only that it allows
a Zzzap when tied or winning and a Metallic Thunder
when losing, is that Zzzzap naturally doesn't force
you to draw immediate prizes. Instead, you fill
your opponent's board with damage without drawing a
prize, this way, when a Raichu d has been knocked
out, your next one is able to use Metallic Thunder
for one Scramble Energy. |

#2
Dragonite d (Delta Species) & Metagross d (Delta
Species)
Without Dragonite d,
Metagross's Crush & Burn attack is extremely weak.
With Dragonite d, it becomes a repetitive streak of
OHKOs. |

#1
Holon's Castform (Holon Phantoms) & Holon Mentor
(Delta Species/Dragon Frontiers)
This combo is the basis
for about half of the good decks in modified. Holon
Mentor gets you the delta basics you need to use
Delta Draw - the ideal opening for all of these
decks. |
