Modified - Bind Down isn't a great attack, it's just good for stalling if you don't want the opponent retreating for something else. Leaf Guard is pretty good as a finishing move. KO the Defending Pokemon and receive 20 less damage on your next turn. It's like having a buffer piece attached as an attack. 3/5

Limited - Good, cheap damage and reduce damage done to it by 20! The opponent will have a hard time knocking it out. Great card here. 4/5

Hey everyone, I've been away for a little while, but I wanted to get back with a review of a new card. Today we have the other of the new Eeveelutions, the grass-type Leafeon!

Name: Leafeon Lv. 42
Set: Majestic Dawn
Rarity: Rare Holo

Analysis: Leafeon would definitely be a good addition to the Eevee family except for its fire-type Weakness. But then you also have Vaporeon and Glaceon to help with that. Leafeon will have a very good Lv. X and will also benefit from the new Umbreon and Espeon's powers, which erases weakness and retreat cost and increases maximum HP. Now let's focus on this specific card: 90 HP is decent for a Stage 1, and the Resistance to water-type is good to counter the metagame counters (that's going deep, lol). As I said before, the fire-type Weakess is dreadful, and the Retreat Cost of 2 is expensive (both of which improve with Umbreon). 'Bind Down' is a cheap attack for 30 damage and lock-in. 'Leaf Guard', in my opinion is great because it does 60 damage and automatically guards Leafeon from 20 damage from any attack during your opponent's next turn. The normal Leafeon is OK, but its Level X is going to be great, especially with Sceptile. Add that with all the other Eeveelutions, and Leafeon will be great.

Modified: Not great by itself, but with a good supporting cast it can be. (4/5)

Limited: Great in limited. Leaf Guard only requires 1 specific energy and protects Leafeon! Plus you might get other Eeveelutions to help it out. (4.5/5)

Welcome back all you dudes and dudettes, today’s COTD today is the new Leafeon from Mysterious Dawn. This is a great addition to the Eevee evolution set, not many pokemon have good evolutions, but Eevee has 7! Leafeon is good, but the introduction of Leafeon Lv.X (Hopefully in the same set.) will make this card awesome. Leafeon has weak attacks, 30 for (G) is nice, but 60 for (G)(C)(C) isn’t, neither of the attacks have good enough effects either. 90 HP is decent for a stage 1 (Slightly sub-par but…) And the fire weakness stinks, but Umbreon and Espeon help the Eons get over it! (Umbreon gives +20 HP to all Eevee evo’s and Espeon negates weakness for them.)

Pros –
Eevee Evolution
Decent first attack
Nice Lv.X

Cons –
Fire Weakness
Sub-par HP
A bit 2 much retreat
Attacks could be better.

Modified – I can’t wait for the Eeveelutions to come out! 4/5

Limited – still good for 30 for (G) even without Lv.X. 4/5

Oh, Mysterious Dawn, please have that Unown P I’ve been waiting for!
