Azelf Lv.50 MT

Hello, today’s COTD is part of the psychic trio from the new MT set. Each of these three pokemon has abilities or attacks that need all three of them in play to use. For today’s COTD, it’s the Poke-Body that relies on the other two. The attack is OK, you could keep your opponent from powering pokemon with special energy. The ability is great though, one more energy for all of… Wait a second, *Rereads card* “your opponents basic Pokemon’s attacks”. Dang, that one word make this card worthless.

Pros –
Blind pulse
+1 © for opponents basics to attack

Cons –
Low HP
Needs the other two to work

Unlimited – Nope, use Sneasle 1/5

Modified – Relies on other cards, in Yu-gi-oh, this would kill a card, and here it still isn’t good. 2/5

Limited – Good luck getting all three out without searchers. 2.5/5

Cards that need other specific cards need to be better to do any good,

UK Nationals Finalist 2007
Azelf

As a pokemon that does not evolve, Azelf's 60HP and retreat cost leave it as but a sitting duck in a lake. (Anyone who has played through the DS games will understand this horrible pun). Bind pulse is a waste of an attack, and the pokebody is very little use considering the resources required to set it up.

1/5
