Dustox

He has never been one of my favorite Pokemon, so I am a little biased. In card form he is not so bad as his gameboy equivalent. 120 HP is good, but he has a big weakness to fire, so Infernape likes to toast this bug. His attacks are not quite as annoying as his Beautifly equivalent, but a quick switch is usually in order as toxic damage adds up quickly. The fact that he can paralyze as well is okay at best though. What really gets this guy is that his pre-evolved forms are not good at all. Wurmple is not very good at all and Cascoon is horrible, so I find it very difficult to try and make a deck around him, as that is what is needed with him being a stage 2 Pokemon.

Modified-1/5 (much too slow here, and not nearly powerful enough)
Limited-2/5 (stage 2 in limited? if you get it off you should win though just on effort alone)

Dustox Lv. 34 D&P

Hello there everybody that’s reading this. Today’s COTD continues the “Almost good enough to play” week. Dustox looks good on paper (Well, actually cardboard I guess,) and is much closer to playable than most of the other cards this week, but isn’t good enough to warrant much play. His HP is good, but falls 10 hp short from surviving a blast from the evil flaming monkey, Infernape. The attacks on Dustox looks usable, 30 for © and (g) plus 50% chance of paralysis is OK, but the second attack is 1 © to expensive, and falls just short of greatness. All in all this is a fun card to use, but if you’re playing competitively, get something else.

Pros –
Nice attacks
Good HP

Cons –
2 retreat
OHKO’ed by Infernape
1 © too expensive

Unlimited – Lol. 1/5

Modified – It’s good, but not good enough. 3.5/5

Limited – Auto poison + good HP = 4.5/5

Dang you Infernape and all your OHKOing power!!!

Dustox lv. 34 Diamond and Pearl

Unlimited: 1/5 Not good here.

Modified: 2/5 Its attacks are only subpar here. I really wouldn't play this.By the time you get 4 energy on it, it'll most likely be KO'd.

Limited: 3/5 This card is better here because of the lack of better cards. Status effects are always good in Limited. I might draft this if I get a good line of it.

This card owns limited games its smaller evelutions are quite good an people undersestimates the card and passes it on. Stun spore is very powerfull in limited while your opponents are unlikely to heal the possible paralyze.
sadly this is all dustox do.
2 retreat aint pretty but passeble 120 are ok but its attacks are far to expensive its a stage 2! 70 damage for GGCC is terrible
stun spore is a bad move here to.
30 point fire weak is awfull to infarnape anyone?

if you like bugs and don't care if you lose use this. if not keep it in the binder

classic 1 (can you give a 0?) - (Pojo Note ... No.  - We've been rating the lowest as 1.00 since our old Pokemon Magazines in 1999.  If we put 0 stars (and we actually used pictures of stars) ... it would look like we forgot to rate the card.  So it was easier to make 1 star the lowest rating  ;-)
modified 1.5
