Hello fellow card players. Welcome to the third day in the “Almost good enough to play” week. Today’s COTD is one of my favorite pokemon from D&P. In the game he serves me well as a baton passer with Explosion in case he gets to weak, but unfortunately, he doesn’t fill his role of support here, as none of his attacks help most pokemon, and he has no poke’ powers. His first attack is O.K. as 5 pokemon or supporters could mean the difference between getting the card you need and one you don’t want. But the second attack is lacking, 60 damage for 3 (P) is not enough, even with the bench hitting power. If he had 20 more HP then he might be  more usable as he wouldn’t be OHKO’ed by everything.

Pros-
Stage 1
Free retreat

Cons-
Sub-par attacks
Low HP

Unlimited – nope. 1/5

Modified – Needs a power boost. 2.5/5

Limited – Ok here as it can OHKO basics. 3.5/5

The makers of the pokemon cards have never been to good at making support related cards,

Unlimited: 2/5 This is a pretty splashable card for its first attack. However in its rating goes down because there are sooo many trainers that do the same thing without attacking.

Modified: 4/5 I like this card here. Its first attack is good for when Holon Farmer gets rotated. It also has a nice effect of recycling Supporters back in your deck. You will probably see a lot of 1/1 lines of this in people's decks in the very near future.

I have to say that I thought that this guy would be a little stronger. He has 80 hp for a stage one with no (current) stage 2. This is a big strike against him already. The fact that his main attack damages your own bench as well just turns me off completely. As for his first attack, I would rather play Pokemon even like Pacharisu who can add the card to my hand instead of to my deck. All in all he's fun for use with Absol EX, but that's about it as far as I see.

Modified-1/5
Limited-2/5 (he kills basics easy enough)

Drimblim quite an interessting card it does something that no other card does well returns supporters. and cheap too. How usefull is that ? depends on your deck this card migth very well make the cut in constructed if sombody build a deck designed to abuse it.
This attack is the ONLY reason to use drifblim 60 isnt much and with 80 hp this card is likely to get ko'ed fairly easy. its retreat is of course great but quite useless as ist going to be ko'ed in 1 punch.
In limitede this card is very bad returning supporters or pokemon means NOTHING here. and using 3 energy of on color well. Never play this in limited

classic 1.5
modified 3.5 (doing something that no other card does insures play if you find a deck that needs it)
limited 1

Drifblim: He's pretty decent believe it or not. his top attack will be a nice counter to rhyperior next format. 3/5

A banana for Infernape with additional poor matchup to Absol ex and Shiftry ex. Not very metagame friendly nor useful whatsoever!

Modified DX-DP: 1/5
