My reviews and ratings are for Modified only.

Typhlosion from Dragon Frontiers

Modified 2/5 - I think its attack and Poke-Power are okay. So the problem lies in consistency - the risk and reward factor. First of all, Stage 2 Pokemon needs to be more game-breaking, and I don't think Shady Move is game-breaking. Also, 3 Energies for 60 is average. Okay, maybe an average of 70 damage because of Burn, but by the time you can start doing 60-70 damage per turn, you'll almost certainly fall behind in prizes.

This is not good, because without cards such as Rocket's Admin and POW! Hand Extension, in a 30 minute game, falling behind in prizes will make things tough.

Kempley05 Typhlosion d - Dragon Frontiers

Personally I'm not seeing anything game breaking here. He may well see play in some Typhlosion decks, but in my opinion the UF Typhlsion is a little superior to this one. Shady move is quite nice with the UF Typhlosion to move damage onto it for a bigger Rage, or just to hurt your opponent a little more whilst healing. The attack isn't doing anything too spectacular buts OK I guess. Knocking out Mew ex so easily is a nice ability to have, without it being able to knock you out in 1 hit with weakness. Personally I just think something like Bannete ex is a superior version of the basic structure and attributes of this card.

Cards that could go with this well include Double Rainbow energy, Typhlosion UF and Full Flame.

Limited 3/5 - if you can get it out

Computer Guy
The 4th card from Ex Dragon Frontier, Typhlosion.

This is a very nice looking card. Stage 2, 100HP, psychic type, weakness to water, and one retreat cost. Shady Move is the same Power on Banette ex. Banette's a better choice because it's way easier to get it out. Burning Ball is a decent attack that gets a boost with some fire energies.
