Ninetales from Dragon Frontiers
Modified 1/5 - The reason is there are only 2 Ninetales in the
DX-on format, one from Emerald and the one from this set, and
both are really weak. Hopefully there'll be a strong Ninetales,
such as the one from Hidden Legends with Fire Blast in the
future.
Limited 2.5/5 - This isn't game-breaking at all, but still, 30
damage and energy recursion is decent enough to run, plus its
attack is colorless requirements.
The Red Rose
Hello today we look
at another pre-release from the dragon frontiers
set.....The stage one evolution Ninetails
Ulimited: The poke power is nice as there are some
decent ninetails out there but the attack isnt that
great.......3/5
Modified: well if we still had the safeguard pokebody
ninetails from hidden legends this power would be
amazing against any heavy ex decks....but once again we
dont and there are not really any good ninetails after
that.......1/5
Limited......unless you pull enough to run two of them
then dont......0/5

The Red Rose....Entering The Battlefield
Espeon
Ninetales d - Psychic
- HP70
Stage 1 - Evolves from Vulpix
Poke-Power: Substitution
Once during your turn, you may remove 4 damage counters
from Ninetales and discard the highest stage Evolution
card from Ninetales (this counts as devolving Ninetales).
Then, search your deck for a Ninetales or Ninetales ex
and play it on top of Vulpix (this counts as evolving
Vulpix). Shuffle your deck afterward.
[C][C] Illusion Tail: 30 damage. Search your discard
pile for an Energy card and attach it to 1 of your
Pokemon.
Weakness: Water
Resistance: none
Retreat: none
Unlimited: 1/5
The power won't do anything in Unlimited and the attack
is subpar. Unlimited works way too fast for this card to
work.
Modified: 1.5/5
70 hp is ohko fodder and the attack only does 30, not
enough to do much.
Ninetales ex is rotated out too, making the power
lackluster as well. Not much this card can do here
either.
Limited: 4/5
Getting energy onto benched Pokemon is godly here. If
you are lucky enough to draft 2 of these, the power will
save you a prize as well. Pretty good for this format.
Computer Guy
Another card from the
yet to be released Ex Dragon Frontier. This time it's
Ninetales.
This Ninetales doesn't seem to powerful in the current
modified format, however its Poke-Power Volunteer does
let you de-evolve and switch to another one. The only
problem with that is the only other one that's legal is
the Ninetales from Ex Emerald which is not that
impressive. So unless POP comes out with a really good
ninetales the Poke-Power won't really matter.
