Modified - 3/5 I see this guy being good for those 1 or 2 of's.
I mean you would put only 1 or 2 of these at most in your deck.
The Metal Weakness is the best one - because people really don't
play Metabyss that much, from what I know. Quite useful anytime
in the game. Once he takes enough damage, use a Switch.
Limited - 5/5 If you get a Legendary bird, you would want to try
to incoporate it into your deck.
Not as good as Zapdos ex, but still too good.

Articuno ex – 1 of the 3 Legendary
Birds in this set. They all share the same 110Hp, and the same
retreat cost of 2 and they all share the same power Legendary
Ascent. Legendary Ascent can be real helpful to switch out your
active Pokemon with 1 of these birds from your hand. Make sure
that you have the same type of energy though as in this instance
Water energy for Articuno. Articuno’s base damage of 50 is on
the low side for a 110 hp Poke but his effect of discarding an
energy from Articuno to discard one off of your opponents is
like a mini Super-removal.
Unlimited: 2/5 – Maybe in Raindance if you want a different
weakness than Lightning, but Suicune Ex is a much better choice.
Modified: 2/5 – With Metagross Ex being somewhat popular and
Articuno suffering from the EX curse its not going to make the
cut here even with its Energy discard effect.
Limited: 4.5/5 – this is where all the birds shine. Out of 2 FR/LG
pre-releases I participated in I was lucky to draft Moltres in 1
and Zapdos in the other and let me tell you if your opponent
isn’t ready for these you can single handedly win the game after
a Legendary Ascent.

Articuno Ex:
This Card Is Pretty Good For An Ex... It Has High Hit Points
(110) and the same poke-power as the other legendary birds... It
has a good attack for 3 energy... 3 for 60 and you may choose to
choose to discard a energy to discard an energy from your
opponents pokemon... It retreat isnt bad... But it is weak to
metal...and Metagross is a strong pokemon right now... So it
might not be a good idea to play it...
My Ratings are the Following:
Unlimited: It could see play seeing as it is a basic and not a
bad one at that... also there is not many strong metal type
pokemon in this format...
3.75/5
Modified: This card will see play but i dont think it will be as
good as in Unlimited due to the lack of being able to getting
energy from the discard... so I wouldnt recommend playing it...
3/5
Limited: If you get it a good water or alot of colorless pokemon
in this format you should energy flood your deck and play this
pokemon...
4.5/5
