Rayquaza series 1
I'm going to take a hedgie approach on Rayquaza's review
because I think that's what it deserves. This card is pure
crud. It doesn't belong in decks. It belongs on Ebay. The
first attack sucks unless you get heads. Even if you get
heads it's nothing special except a stall for a turn. The
2nd attack is crazy. 2 colored energy for 30 damage?! No
thx.
Unlimited - Socks 1/5
Modified - Socks 1/5
Limited - A little better than socks, but not by much. 1.5/5
Johnny Blaze
Rayquaza : 80 HP version. The picture
alone on this card is just worth having. You have your standard
scrunch-like attack in Fly that deals 10 damage. And for 1R and
1L Quaza dishes out 30 damage with Dragon Claw. The standard
Weakness to colorless. I really wish that Dragon type with its
respected energy was made along with Ice type energy to coincide
more with the GB. But we are stuck with colorless weakness for
Dragons.
Unlimited: 2/5 – If you are running some crazy F/L deck and want
to try Rayquaza I guess it could be considered in the Haymaker
status. Boy I wish this card was around when Potpourri decks
were popular. Wiggly seriously destroys it though. I hate that
Colorless weakness.
Modified: 2/5 – A very cheap version of its EX counterpart. And
boy do I mean cheap in every way. Unless you want to show off
this card in your deck I would rather stick with its EX
counterpart.
Limited: 0/5 – You wont find this card in any current draft
format.
