Dear Pojo,
Firstly congratulations on a superb mag! It's just too good! Unfortunately, I have had a bit of trouble playing against my friends electric deck. He plays Zapdos and Electrodes and usually knocks out his Electrode to power up Zapdos straight away. My question is though, if you 'Buzzap' Electrode, can you then add an energy card down on the same turn? I believe that you cannot because it states on Electrode's power that ' Electrode is now an Energy card ( instead of a Pokemon ) '. So in effect he is a double colourless energy that provides 2 of any energy that you choose ( not colourless ), and we all know that you can only attach one energy card down per turn. My friend, however, differs to my opinion, so I am begging you for the answer!
While the Electrode does count as an energy card, the rules state you may play 1 card with the card type of Energy from your hand each turn.  So, he can buzznap and play an energy in the same turn.
